Planar tweeters are very sweet IMHO. I lke too much trebles rendition from the EMIT tweeters of my Infinty home speakers. The only con about them is: they are quite directional, but in an IEM i believe directionality problem doesn't sussist.
I've got ribbon tweeters in my Office Speakers and they're incredibly detailed but yes, incredibly directional. In an IEM it doesnt matter - the nozzle only points in the right direction!

To he honest I'm more than happy with the 200 buyers price point but obviously I want it to be more of a success for future projects.
I agree, that price is amazing already. Even with the corrected € value, which I calculated the wrong way around....

Also lets see what Bob wants to offer after something like this project. There will probably be the Basic R1, without the venting system. And i have heard about a Bluetooth project, but he will announce more about that after the Rah launch.

For now i am way too excited about this one. The R2 keeps surprising me in new tracks over and over again. They somehow are a real different experience compared to the Zeniths, which were great, but after a while they did not excite me that much anymore.

I bought the R2's and signed for the RAH's.

That was a good choice. These headphones have just got better and better since I have been playing them and burning them in. That night I was up till 3am playing songs to hear them with these and couldn't take them off.

I'm up to about 80 hours now will they change further past this? Reason I ask is that I am stuck with the stock black/black combo and the longer I've burned them the bassier they've got. To the point where I was thinking hmm these are too bassy and not just enjoying the music.

I remembered I could use the R1 tips on the R2 so tried the black as that was my favourite on the R1 and it is perfection. What is astounding me is the level of clarity with these these tips have totally opened them up. It could be some burn in as I have just been burning them last couple of days but the stock R2 tips were not this clear.

With the perfect bass these are up there with some of my high end over ears. But try the R1 tips with these if you have them. I don't own the Zenith so not sure if they are the same on that.

Also tried the R2 black/black on the R1 and was a little bit bassier than the R1 black. Between the black and copper. A little too much for me.

Wait but aren't we already securing a spot when we express interest for the 400 price point regardless of people committing?

No, It's staggered pricing based on the number of orders. This Directly off the page:
"Pricing will start at £550.00 for up to 100 buyers, 200 buyer will be £450.00, 300 buyers will be £400.00, 400 buyers £380.00 and 500+ buyers we could get down to as little as £350.00"
So we are now at the £450 price break. 89 more gets us to £400
