IMRs have so far fit me just fine, so Imagine these will be even better. I'm working on assembling the funds for one of new Semper Spots.

Which method are you using to assemble

For all you lucky, fortunate and otherwise overjoyed Opus & New Aten Owners. Could you comment on shell size, fit and isolation with the closed port? @Aphex72 thanks for those pics. Would you mind snapping a side profile pic so I could get an idea of just how deep they are and to see how much the interchangeable port portrudes from the shell.
Thanks. I'm getting ready to make a decision on the next and last IEM for a while (yeah, right) But isolation and sleepability are important to me for the next one. Thanks!
With shallow wide bore tips similar and including Tennmak Whirlwind, finally, Opus shell fits relatively easy, doesn't stick out too much, but with that choice of tips and bass reducing nozzles, isolation is below average and not NYC commute ready, even though I use closed rear port that I also seal with tape. Those nozzles have air holes in them so sealed back is moot. It's still good enough to use at work and away from busy streets outside.
I can sleep in them. The fit is forgiving to 45 degrees to the pillow but not fully on the side.

I haven't figured out what is it with IMR and isolation, but even EDP isolation with sealed vents and no-vent nozzles is still inferior to most of my resin shell universals. EDP is the most isolating IMR IEM, but still not good enough for NYC commute.
Opus I'm not using outside also because of condensate, that potentially can damage EST drivers. IMR built quality seems to be very good but too many other brands' IEMs failed on me due to moisture condensation, so I'm a bit weary of that problem.
IMHO, you're better served with universal resin shell IEM. Old Aten & Red is small enough to fit inside the Concha. New shells - not so much. :triportsad: Missed opportunity for IMR. I'm not suggesting Red though - too much of a downgrade to Opus.

As @NellieG has commented Aten/Opus Mia aren't best option for sleeping  The capsules despite being shallower than Halcyon and PB One protrude from the ear and if we lie down with our head on the side we will hurt ourselves :slight_frown:

they are probably not the best choice to sleep in to be honest.

Hi, what are the gold-looking IEMs in that pic?
Is that the Opus Mia? They looked a rather bling-y yellow gold on the official website photos, but those IEMs in your pic look more like rose gold or something?

It is the Opus Mia and i agree in the site photos the gold looks terrible, my pic is quite close to how they are and as good as you will get on a phone camera. I do not like bling and the Opus Mia is really really nice.

This bling bling set up delivers mind blowing SQ beyond the 200hrs burn in. Been grabbing attention these days, and now able to accept high gain on my MAX and up to speed with fast tracks rendering DT and Mike Portnoy “machine gun” like drumming (kick drum) deliciously in different flavour to PB1.
Loving it and reckon it will even get better.

That picture is wasted as a thumbnail so I have to do this
