Any advice for a soft reset that never finished (left side red light hasn't lit) it has been an hour and the only light is the power light. the reset was done from the browser interface
I have had that happen although it was a good long while ago. I remember just getting impatient and powering it off, to try again, but probably not recommended, I would notify @iFi audio and open a support ticket.Any advice for a soft reset that never finished (left side red light hasn't lit) it has been an hour and the only light is the power light. the reset was done from the browser interface

Thanks for the adviceI have had that happen although it was a good long while ago. I remember just getting impatient and powering it off, to try again, but probably not recommended, I would notify @iFi audio and open a support ticket.
Or if it's still in its power on state follow the first post-hard reset procedure.
Hope you get it worked out.
Cheers!!
Thanks for this tip, Bubba. I use Mode 3 exclusively, but today I wanted to play some files on SD card. I simply cranked knob to DNLA mode, selected iFi renderer & played files from Bubble. Then reverted back to Tidal, no hitches. Have to admit was pleasantly surprised...........Thanks for the testing, as a note for you you do not have to power off the ZS when switching modes, it can be done with no harm in its power-on state, perhaps this may alleviate some of your issues. Just be sure to give it a moment to calibrate itself and be ready for the switch you have selected.
Cheers!!

Sorry for the late reply...So I'm trying to let foobar2000 play through the Stream. I go the component that lets me se UPnP devices so I can select the stream for playback. However, nothing comes out when I play anything and the visualizers aren't going so it means nothing is even playing even though the play bar moves. Anyone know how to fix this?

That doesn't seem to be the issue.Sorry for the late reply...
You need to access the Stream-ifi app, or by using ifi.local to control the output of the ZS, in other words setting the output.
Under Settings, General playback option (on the left-hand side of the screen)
See here...
Select Spdif/USB as needed...
Cheers!!
Which mode is the dial on the stream set to? I would assume it's already in mode #1 if you can see the menu. That doesn't seem to be the issue.

Forgot to mention that I'm connected through direct Ethernet. I tried both mode #1 and #5 and both don't work. I however tried through Audirvana Legacy 3.5 and it works just fine so I'm not sure what's going on. I guess I'll try asking the Foobar forums.Which mode is the dial on the stream set to? Edit: Also give something else a try, a simple program like Mconnect if you can, to see if you can produce sound, I have not had Foobar in a long time, so I would have to brush up.
I wish I could be more helpful to you but I have grown so far away from Foobar I would probably need to read for the next two days to catch up. I was going to suggest even a thumb drive to ensure it's not the ZS giving you issues.Forgot to mention that I'm connected through direct Ethernet. I tried both mode #1 and #5 and both don't work.
