I’m really looking forward for Airplay 2, but can’t setup it on ifi volumio OS. I guess it will be outdated on various packages that are tweakable via opensource

Thank you for considering it. Another neat feature would be high quality DSP volume control much like Roon's with dithering (no loss of sound quality)- this means I can use a DAC directly with power amps or active speakers for ultimate sound quality. Thanks, duly noted, I'll pass on your feedback. Thanks again!

Oh yea i know - it's a bit unorthodox, but digital volume can for all intents and purposes as good as any analogue if not even better if done right with correct headroom/dithering: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/...truth-about-dsp-volume-control-in-roon.23552/Although some of our fiters are in the digital domain, volume control any other than analog is a different story. I can't promise anything, but I'll ask, why not![]()
I know IFI are focused on analogue domain mostly, but you guys do fantastic reclocking and other stuff in digital domain, it's time to take it to the next level and do some great software too.. I was also asking a while back if possible to get DSP eq on the Gryphon. It's 2023, we have chatbots that are smarter than me, give us some sexy EQ/DSP pleasethere's no running away from code haha

If you're sure you are connected to the same network as the Zen stream, and have been using the Stream-iFi app in that way and not Hot-spot, then I am not sure what could be wrong.Tidal Connect cannot see my Zen Streamer. When I try "Connect" in my Tidal App on my Iphone, it just shows the TV sets and some Wifi Radios in my house. It shows me nothing about the Zen streamer or anything about ifi.
In the ifi video showing how to use Tidal with the Zen streamer, when something plays on tidal, the speaker icon is supposed to show up but I do not see that icon at all.
Tidal just plays right on my iPhone or on my (Windows)computer directly through Tidal itself (by the Tidal app on my PC or my iPhone).
Currently, I just use All-in-one mode with my external SSD drive. I use my iPhone as the remote (via the iFi app). I am using the Wifi connection. (My router is in another part of my house so I cannot use an ethernet cable connection.) This always works fine and sounds great. [I use an ifi Power Elite, which really improves the sound.]
I tried mconnect and uPnp and even Jplay on my iPhone, and none of these can see the Zen streamer or anything related to ifi.
The ifi app on my iPhone is the only app I use with with the Zen Streamer.
I've scoured the internet for suggestions, but nothing has worked.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

You're welcome, enjoy!OK, thanks for the help. Got it working. On the iphone, I needed to click on the playbar to see the speaker icon. Thanks so much for the quick response which worked.
Best to you.

I have used it in both ways, when I used MConnect, the best is to just set it to where the Gapless works for you and leave it, lolHi, I'm using the mconnect player app with Qobuz and in the settings there is the "Gapless to Renderer" option. I see this warning: "Please turn off if your device does not support Gapless over UPnP. Some renderers may show abnormal behavior with Gapless on". Does anyone know if the Zen Stream supports this?

Different systems and dacs have had different reactions to it, I will always use a Live album or Pink Floyd to test how the gapless setting responds to any gear, then set it and forget it.
Hope that helps...
Cheers!!
