can ifi zen stream read ntfs 4tb hard drive?
You can connect an external USB hard drive, so long as it has its own power (does not get power from the USB port). The port is USB 3.0, but should be compatible with 2.0. I am not sure about NTFS, so you may want to contact iFi support and ask them. I have a USB 3.0 128 GB memory stick plugged into my ZS and it works fine.can ifi zen stream read ntfs 4tb hard drive?
That's interesting, but I am yet to figure out how one could access Stream's configuration web page in any other mode than AIOThe problem with usb in mode 2 is solved:
1. Click "DEVICE INFO" and go to "Configure device"
then just choose the output source you need, DONE!
yes, I did it in Mode 2That's interesting, but I am yet to figure out how one could access Stream's configuration web page in any other mode than AIO
I am not getting how you did this. Where is the “configure device” tab located, in Roon or in the ZS GUI? If it’s Roon is it only on the core? Because I get no such setting on my iPad or my iPhone, and I cannot access the ZS GUI in mode 2. Help please? The problem with usb in mode 2 is solved:

This is under Settings/Audio. My Roon Core is Intel NUC (on ROCK)I am not getting how you did this. Where is the “configure device” tab located, in Roon or in the ZS GUI? I didn’t know that “Device info” was clickable! I feel ridiculous, but grateful! This is under Settings/Audio
Don't blame yourself, blame the application's user interface.I didn’t know that “Device info” was clickable! I feel ridiculous, but grateful!
Apparently it’s an option only for Roon Ready devices, that “device info” link—before the update when it was just a bridge, I don’t think that was an option for the ZS. What I’m a little perturbed about is iFi not letting folks know about the new feature—it would have saved a lot of hassle amongst users.Don't blame yourself, blame the application's user interface.
It is! Although I’m still getting clipping when upscaling to DSD 256 in Roon, according to the headroom management setting. If you enable headroom management and set the cutoff to zero, it keeps a bit perfect stream but the little signal star blinks red when it clips. Doesn’t happen when I turn upscaling off.Sound quality unreal in Roon mode via USB... This little thing is a gem!
It seems to be occurring when upscaling my existing DSF 64 files. Might be a function of how they were converted to DSF from SACD ISO. I need to check whether I’m getting the same issue with a number of upscaled Qobuz FLAC files before I call code red. Also, Roon is still showing that DSD 512 can be selected, which obviously the ZS can’t support—perhaps iFi is planning a future firmware that enables DSD 512? One can hope…That's strange, because up scaling to DSD256 works fine over Wi-Fi to Stream from my Rock that is connected to my router via LAN. Perfect audio, no clipping or network issues.
