Yeahh! The M.A.L.P. connect to Zen on port 6600, and it seems to play continuously without any problems. Thank you!Hi,
I use a local attached 512 GB USB Storage to the ZEN Stream and I have enabled "DLNA Browser" under "Sources" in the ZEN Stream Settings. I don't use built-in the web-browser for navigation and playback. I recommend use a Android device and use the app free M.A.L.P. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.gateshipone.malp&hl=de&gl=US
In this combination I never any issue or problem and it's way better usage then the default web-browser option for local file playback.

Has anyone experienced zen stream to be powered up on on its own without touching the button? This is really strange...I have the zen stream plugged in on power all the time...but not powered on...since recently at random times it's just powers on..without me touching the button.
Could it be a power supply problem? I power it up with the black Ipower provided with the streamer. Other than that is completely functional I don't have problems with connectivity or operational issues.
Of course a reply from ifi would be welcome as well.
Cheers.

There have been a few odd reports of power-off scenarios that seemed to be related to phases or switches on the line. My suggestion would be to reach out to iFi and raise a support ticket to address the issue.

In the past it has happened occasionally to reboot randomly when I was listening but I guess this is normal. But to power on on itself...I am thinking that the power switch on the streamer is faulty but I will open a ticket for sure.
Thanks for the reply

Hi guys,
just to check or if ifi can look into this anomaly.
I have this issue with ifi Zen Streamer using Tidal Connect with a particular album (https://listen.tidal.com/album/218733775). For the 1st few tracks (up to track 5) it freezes very frequently when playing the tracks. However whenever i switched over to another album , Tidal connect via Zen Stream behaved normally.
Not sure why this first few tracks from this particular album is so special that ZS can't process it properly. Any one encounter such issues with particular album?

I am not sure why there would be an issue with an Album in particular, but I would also drop an email to Tidal support, perhaps they can see some issue with this particular album.Hi guys,

I did test the album on Qobuz and found no issue, sorry I am no longer a Tidal subscriber.
Cheers!!

I’ve just played that album without any issues. I have had the occasional problems with Tidal, and not just with the ZEN.
“Give the people what they want” by The Kinks played with a clicking sound, like dirt on an LP, through whichever streamer I tried. Other music was fine. Tried The Kinks album again, a few days later, and it was fine.
Maybe it was just Tidal being Tidal…

Hello all … I’m thinking about switching over from a topping M50 to a Zen Stream due to a crosstalk issue with the M50.
I just need a streamer with the ability to play my music library which is on a SSD and I have access to a Ethernet connection for the Zen Stream
I would prefer I2S digital input into my dac but I can eventually get a DDC
Does the Zen Stream have a crosstalk issue?

None that has ever been mentioned here or in the other thread, that I am aware of, others can certainly chime in.Hello all … I’m thinking about switching over from a topping M50 to a Zen Stream due to a crosstalk issue with the M50.

An SSD can be connected to the Top USB port (Only) and playback is accomplished thru the use of a browser or Stream-iFi app.
I would purchase from a retailer with a good return policy just in case you encounter any Crosstalk issues, but again to the best of my knowledge, it hasn't been brought up!
Cheers!!
