Pretty Nice, up and running in under 5 minutes from box to desk! I have no idea what some reviewers are talking about not being able to get it set up. Roon, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, it was all right there as if I had it for months! More later!!

Mine should be arriving tomorrow. If you are able to, can you see how to play local music (HDD/micro-SD card + adapter connected to the USB inout port) please? TIDAL should be fairly easy via TIDAL Connect. However, I have a micro-SD card loaded with my lossless music in an USB adapter and I really want to be able to play songs from it using the iFi Zen Stream.

Also, I'm hoping the lights go out after a while as mine will be in a bedroom.

I'm pretty sure those lights stay on but I'm gonna look into the menu for you.

I do have a drive with music on it so I will try to get to that too, but from what I saw it's just plug the disk stick whatever into the top USB and scan liked any other music steamer, or media player.

The menu on your browser looks exactly like volumio, if you've seen that

Didn't realize it but the lights can be turned on and off with the button on the far right, it's a dual function button! So your good, no lights on the front when pressed!

So you just plug you SSD, HD, USB stick into the upper USB 3.0 slot, in the menu you'll see sources, scan your drive done the music shows up in my library... Screenshot of the only external I had handy, lol!

Yeah, I used Volumio for a short while last year so have a little familiarity with it.

One other function that would be really good is the ability to use M3U playlists that are part of my local music library.

Are there any print screens showing the Roon Signal Path when the Zen Stream is used somewhere between your source (let's say Intel NUK on ROCK) and a DAC?
Any improvement in sound quality over a direct usb connection from your source (PC, NUC on ROCK, etc.) to your DAC?

Basically I would have 2 scenarios for ZEN Stream:
- desktop application: put it between my Intel NUC on ROCK and my DAC (via Ethernet connection);
- remote application: use it as a wireless streamer only for my iDSD Diablo when needed.

Both scenarios require Roon compatibility.

If you look on the iFI page for the ZStream it's had some wording for Roon, something like certification in the pipeline, but looks Roon Ready To my eyes, but who knows lol
