If you don't mind me asking what made you settle on the Node? I looked at it all the time and personally just couldn't pull the trigger. I can't really explain it but something kept me from getting one. Perhaps you might help me see the light per say!! lol
Very nice feature set, even Chromecast support planned....if it would have a 12V trigger out, you had the ultimate device already - seems something for a v2

The convenience factor of a simple set up and an app that seems to have less problems than other similar app based interfaces plus it does sound very good for its price point.
The usb on the node will become an output with a firmware update in the near future, that sealed the deal for me as the best sounding input on my dac is the usb input.
If the ifi stream had launched a couple of weeks ago it would have been a definite contender for my money.

Thank you for your thoughts, I think that's what was holding me back at the timer months ago was the USB issue.

Might go for one of these if and when they release a "signature" version. For now i have just dropped a wad of cash on a secondhand Magna Hifi Mano Streamer (Pi 2b board) that i pick up in a couple of weeks. There were quality control issues with my signature headphone amp so i returned it.

Pretty Nice, up and running in under 5 minutes from box to desk! I have no idea what some reviewers are talking about not being able to get it set up. Roon, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, it was all right there as if I had it for months! More later!!
