I am a xDSD user.
How does IFI Audio suggest combo the xCAN with the previous xDSD?
Do we just use a 3.5 TRS-to-3.5 TRS to connect those two devices?
Is there any benefit with adding xCAN in the combo rather than just using xDSD?

This thing is a 4.4 connection away from saving me $2200. Please look into putting the 4.4 on your future products; barring the connection, this is exactly what I've looking for.

Even though both xDSD and xCAN have wireless receiver, headphone amp and DAC on-board, xDSD is superior as a DAC and xCAN is superior as an amp. Thus to maximize the effect xDSD should receive stream from i.e. your smartphone and do D/A conversion and then xCAN should take over and amplify.

I don't see an output impedance -- does the recommended HP imepdance range starting at 16 mean that the XCAN will not be suitable for very impedance-sensitive IEMs? (Without using an additional accessory like the IEMatch)

2 questions:

1) Can you please post here the exact model Sabre DAC that's being used in the xCAN? 9028? 9038??

2) I think I might be interested in the xCAN b/c of its semi-wireless capability. IF I was to e-mail Lawrence to get one sent to my home, am I obligated in any way to buy it?

Oh I had NO reason to think you guys would ever use a SoC BT setup. LOL I know that iFi does things BETTER than that! lol

Ok. That's fantastic!! I will contact Lawrence right away then. I've written MANY reviews here on Head-Fi since joining almost exactly 4 years ago too! The more I read about your products (and excellent customer experience), the more interested I am in your products.
