I know it may have been a while since you returned the review units, but could you share any further thoughts on the xDSD + xCAN stack? Is there a notable difference in sound from either unit alone? I’m guessing you had the xDSD set to line out mode, to bypass the xDSD amp section and try to get the best of both worlds with the xDSD DAC section + xCAN amp section. Just wondering if there’s any difference in sound other than just more power.

Hey mate, I'd be going from memory so couldn't reliably tell you. I wouldn't really recommend buying both as a stack as it'd be a waste of the xDSD's talents, and it not that usable in terms of form-factor. The only real sonic difference would be sound pressure level, and the ability to drive less sensitive headphones with the xCAN.

Those that have reviewed it on YouTube have you received it free from IFI or did you purchase it?

I intended to use it for Bluetooth only and found the sound very harsh connected to Focal Clear.

Also it only uses Bluetooth 3.0 hence struggles with connection at 8feet plus. Constant drop outs from my TV which is Bluetooth 4.1 AptX.

Yes it does. It's around 13 cm long. Until now I couldn't find a longer one.

i have my x-can and i have it on and the inputs are in right but im getting no sound? what is it im missing?

it keeps flashing blue and off but i dont want to pair it because my m11 and it are connected by 3.5 plug the plug is good checked with my cayin c5 but i get no sound i can hear when it turns on but no sound

You are in the Bluetooth Mode. Power off and then power on holding the Rotary Knob down till it changes to green. That puts it in the analog mode.

Will the xCAN charge fast enough to be use while Charging from a Computer Via USB? Or I need to plug it in an Outlet.
