Based on review feedback, lot of people would've like to see "Uno Pro" with SPDIF in for TV usage. And I agree, such a small device would make sense in this role

I agree. I really enjoy my Zen Dac Signature and Zen Can Signature HD6XX with my Sennheiser HD6XX headphones. It's a well thought out headphone systemIfi never stop impressing me with their designing creation and aesthetic sense

Can you hear a difference between the new ESS dac chip compared to the BB on the Zen? TksI agree. I really enjoy my Zen Dac Signature and Zen Can Signature HD6XX with my Sennheiser HD6XX headphones. It's a well thought out headphone system

I'd like to know about this too lol. Does it still retain the iFi house sound? Can you hear a difference between the new ESS dac chip compared to the BB on the Zen? Tks
I have the original Zen Dac Signature which has the Burr Brown chipset. It's a warm sounding dac.Can you hear a difference between the new ESS dac chip compared to the BB on the Zen? Tks
I don't know specifically for Uno, but I've been told to cut noise you need something that allows power from another source (i.e. not from your PC).Question for any Uno owners. I've had mine for a while now and originally reviewed it in my channel. I loved the sound and use case of the Uno, but I had issues with the Game and Movie mode EQ producing quite a bit of noise interference. I tried all sorts of troubleshooting but never could quite figure it out.
I do have a pretty beefy gaming PC and 3 routers in my house with lots of wifi traffic, so wasn't sure if it's just that.
However, when I read many others it seems like just a few people like myself have the issue while others report no problems. I should mention that this is my 2nd Uno as I returned the first thinking it was a possible defect.
Any updates on this, findings or possible firmware (though this feels more hardware then software).
I love the Uno and iFi products so this one has stumped me.
Quick edit: so I decided to hook this up to my phone and go to a room with really no electronic equipment (aka bathroom haha) and I got no noise feedback at all. Listened connected to my phone and my Tinhifi T3+.
That's great, but the problem is if using Game mode I gotta imagine using that to game on PC or console where you'll have more electronic interference going. Just a thought. Though game modes footstep feature I don't care for anyway. Movie mode definitely has uses though.
I appreciate that. I guess my thoughts with that is again many will hook these up to a PC or laptop. Being a budget option I wouldn't expect to need a separate piece of equipment to control noise. USB hubs also are not typically a good thing to use with desktop dacs, though this is more portable. I have a complete desktop setup with DAC hooked to my PC with no noise. However, I can appreciate if they used cheaper components to keep the cost down that may not shield as well. I suppose also since this uses the power of whatever it is plugged into, that could play a role too.I don't know specifically for Uno, but I've been told to cut noise you need something that allows power from another source (i.e. not from your PC).
So you could either get a powered USB hub (so it power from the wall outlet) or get something like iFi Defender+ then get an external power like iPower2 then plug into the Defender+.
Defender+ is designed to remove noise, so it will be more effective but cost more. Powered USB hub would be cheaper option, but not sure how effective it would be (might still be ok).
