Also, most of my iems have a 2.5mm balanced connection. Would you recommend using a 4.4mm to 2.5mm converter on the idsd and then the 2.5mm iematch?

If I were you I'd use what's the most convenient for me. I'd first try these iEMs without iEMatch as its use depends on their sensitivity, thanks!

My iDSD pro signature arrived today. First two hours of listening show it sounds good right out of the box. Now it’s time for some burn in ☺️.

Great synergy with my Denon ah-d9200, my Mete Elite Dark Mystery as well as my 64audio a18s!!

Greetings everyone!

Just wanted to hop in and report that the Audeze LCD-5 pairs extremely well with the wonderful Pro iCAN Signature.

No need for any apps or EQ; the XBass, 3D effect and the different Tubes modes will be more than enough to help you find your favorite sound signature.

Hoping someone may be able to comment from experience..

I currently have a Burson Conductor 3X Reference and am considering trying the IFI Pro IDSD Signature. Basically.. I love all-in-one units and do not like using a separate DAC+Amp. I have limited desk space and all-in-ones are just really what I prefer. My most demanding headphone is the Arya (v1) followed by the HD800S. I would be looking to run both off the 4.4 port that comes standard on the iDSD Signature. I really love my Burson Conductor but the IFI caught my eye because it can do tubes + tube hybrid. These sound really cool to me. It also sounds like the on-board 4.4 jack has plenty of power for my headphones.

My question-

Has anyone been able to compare a Burson Conductor 3X Reference to the IFI Pro IDSD Signature? I realize the power outputs are different on the two units and the IDSD is more of a DAC than an Amp (but hey.. it puts out lots of power.. 4.8Watts into 16 ohms should be plenty for just about anything right?). Can anyone comment on their thoughts comparing the two units if you happen to have tried both products?

Although we haven't compared them internally, you can also ask about that in the Burson thread, thanks!

Hi, I tried the calculator but didn't seem to answer my question. Do you know the output the ican signature puts into Susvara?

AND is the rating for it's output per channel or total? i.e I always see these rating ex: 14w into 16° but never know if this is total wattage or per channel.

it’s 14w a channel , roughly susvara is about 3.75

I assume that is before any gain is added? I may be off on this but I believe I saw on a advertisement for ican sig that it was capable of 20db of gain that was equivalent to 100w into 50ohms

But I also noticed the top gain was only 18 db on the switch. I assume the 20db is for the preamp and the 18v is tops for the actual amp. 3.75 per channel isn't bad for Sus especially before any gain of that is how it works..

gain isn’t power just saying two entire things , top gain is 18 on any mode , can run susvara just about pretty nicely but it’s right at the top end of the icans doing , capable but not a load of headroom left

I'm sorry to hear about your issues and let me encourage you to contact our support team here: https://support.ifi-audio.com
I wrote to support (#29888) because the replacement units have the same issue or exhibited the same issues after 2 weeks. So, after a month of testing I concluded that the tubes fail in some way. The noise coming from the iDSD (connected to the iCAN through XLR, high gain and using the XLR port for headphones) when DSD Remastering is on or when the WiFi antenna is connected is only heard when tube mode is engaged. So the tubes are at fault here. In case of the iCAN, after 2 weeks of using the new unit the right tube failed (as opposed to the left one on the previous unit). By failing I mean there is a poping noise when the iCAN is turned on with the tube mode engaged or when switching from the solid state mode to the tube mode (high gain and using the XLR port for headphones). After the pop noise, about 3 seconds later, any touching of the unit, even the most delicate brushing of your hand on the unit can be heard in the channel that has the tube issue. In my case the right channel, even when the volume pot is at zero. Any movement of the headphone cable is also heard in the headphones just like I mentioned in the original post. So, it seems the tubes are bad, really bad. They brake after a very short amount of time. One of my friends bought the iDSD a few days ago. He came to my place to test it with me. Surprise! The iDSD has the same poping noise on the right channel and the same mechanical issues. So it can happen on the iDSD and on the iCAN, because they use the same tubes. You either got a bad batch or you're not doing something right. And on top of that the dealer ordered new units in January and they do not have any shipment date. So here I am with 2 broken units after changing a set of these already, no solution and no estimate when it will be fixed or even if it will be fixed at all. Maybe the new shipment has the same issue. I don't know if I should wait or just get a refund and look elsewhere. I gotta say, this has not been the best experience so far. I was expecting a little more from @iFi audio.

I've been using my Susvara through the XRL output and it sounds glorious on the iCAN Pro Signature.
