Hi I am an ifi fan with several products from ifi and have been a very happy user of pro ican signature which I use with flagship headphones from Denon and Audeze, but have two issues: the small glass window to show the tube inside went off and the line out has lots of distortions even when the DAC that feeds it is turned off.

I am somehow dissapointed that ifi does not reply.

I am sorry, I have been following the thread as I just recently got my Pro iDSD and Pro iCAN combo, I thought you had a resolution to the issue.

In terms of the Tube Window, I personally have never seen that, perhaps someone here can point you to a video about Tube replacement, I would have to look myself, but I know they are out there. (In terms of taking the unit apart for possible repair).

I think your best bet on the "distortion noise" you are hearing is to open a ticket with our support to be able to describe the issue in more detail, perhaps they have run into it previously and can surely help you out.

I have heard many people who have used the WE as a quality upgrade.

If you are referring to the "getter" in the Tube I thought most were "D Ring" in those tubes for WE.

The difference is noticeable and it mainly narrows down to juicier tone, darker background and also punchier bass. This is in large part due to iPower Elite PSU, but several tweaks inside Pro iCAN Signature also factored in.

Is it worth to upgrade? And how much people think the difference is in the cash value?

You may consider iPower Elite as a nice upgrade

Wow..owning both..very subjective. Myl ears can't tell any real discernable difference. IMO not worth the price difference. Both good products. Well designed and built. If u find a good deal on the OG's. That would be fine
I have used both supplies as well..again no difference here..with $4k + cans..

Can't speak to any sound differences between the signature and og, but the signature usually sells for about $1.5-1.6k and the OG for around $1.1-1.2k from what I've seen.

Thanks for your feedback! Most users reported rather noticeable changes upon going from stock PSU to iPower Elite in case of our Pro range, but it's okay if that doesn't make a difference to your ears

NP..these claimed noise levels are so down in he mud it really doenst matter...
YMMV of course.

As long as that supply stays solid under load and with the original PSU numbers its a really moot point.

Great products.
Lousy warranty (my personal gripe)..

I am running a pair of Hifiman Arya Stealth Magnet from my ifi Pro iCAN Signature.
tried it both, from the classic 4pin XLR port, also from the newer 4.4 balanced out.
I know that the classic 4pin XLR has a more powerful output, so for my normal listening, I can push the volume knob up to 9 o'clock (maybe 10) when listening to the Aryas connected to this port.
when I am listening on the 4.4 balanced port, I can push the volume knob up to 1-2 o'clock to get to the same normal listening volume.

the question is now: is there a recommended port for these easier-to-drive headphones on the powerful Pro iCAN? am I missing something if I connect them through the 4.4 balanced out?

No your not missing anything.
Having a volume pot at mid setting is considered normal and desired.
