I'm having some battery problems but wanted to ask some questions first. When I plug in the Nano BL to my laptop, it turns blue which should indicate charge. But it only lasts about 45 seconds and then goes out. What does that indicate?
And when the unit is not plugged into the computer and I turn it on, I get a couple seconds of red and then the light goes out.
The unit was originally purchased in April, but like a previous user has said, it came with the MQA sticker on the box but not the most recent firmware; it was still on the original firmware. I've upgraded it to 5.3 and can play MQA now.
Oh, and I might as well ask, how long should it take it to charge? Thanks!

Charge time depands on what your USB port can deliver. Blinking red LED means that the battery is discharged. Please see this manual: https://ifi-audio.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/nano-iDSD-BL-manua-Ver1.4.pdf

Just to ask, are you able to charge and use the product? Or is it blinking red and doesn't turn on at all?

Can you please elaborate what do you mean by taking a battery off? As in remove it?

I read the charging instructions that came with the nano and they state the led should go out when fully charged but mine does not. I charge using a anker usb wall charger and however long i charge for the green led still shows?

I'm curious about the exact specs and rationals behind the IEMatch port.
From the declared 4 Ohm output impedance, it looks like a "light" version of a standalone IEMatch device ? How much is the "fake" Load impedance presented to the amp stage in this case, and how many dB is the SPL loss ?

Also, while I do understand the benefit with hiss on hypersensitive IEMs and all, I fear that such a (relatively) high Z out will damp / veil the sound on very low impedance IEMs (12 Ohm, 8 Ohm or less). Anyone got experience there?

Thanks :)

My nano is 1 year old and for 6-7 months the battery didnt last long, but it was ok because i use it on my desktop, The problem is that 1 month now the Blue light Keep staying on even if i leave it for a day charging or connected to my PC.
So can i do anything for example take off the battery ? or buy batteries for it ? Without losing my warranty ?
Thank u .

You could open up a ticket here: https://support.ifi-audio.com

...and ask whether a battery replacement is possible. If our tech staff can and has spare batteries in stock, they will do their best to help you out :)

(by the way i love the sound signature of IFI house just bought from other company and i didnt like it so much)

Thanks!

Is it possible to use the nano without the battery either by removing the battery or disconnecting it, so the nanao v can be used as a usb dac permanently connected to source?

That's not possible I'm affraid. The product was designed with battery constantly engaged.
