Awesome. I don't do classical much. And whatever I get must be closed (kids/noise). Someone that I find reliable said it was an excellent choice.

Thanks for enforcing the idea. Have you by any chance experienced the Bayer dt1770. If so how does it compare SQ and confort.

Beyer I only had the T5, but only for a short time, it worked again immediately. I didn't like it at all and it was extremely uncomfortable. Something was constantly pressing. The ZMF is no comparison, much more pleasant and beautiful in sound, more coherent and super comfortable. You can wear it for hours and feel nothing at all. Beautifully soft and supple padding.

No, in this class as closed I like it by far the best! It is also visually very well done with the beautiful wood, it really gives something away. I don't want anything else there.

And just the sound, I love it!

Pompecukur, if you like a bassy but still audiophile tuned headphone, try the Klipsch HP3. I had it for awhile. It is a really fun, very good headphone. Also, it has some of the best packaging. I thought it was better than Fostex 900. You can get the Klipsch for much less than th $1200 I paid for it

Thank you, but is that not open? Open is out of the question for me. I am allergic to noise and we have a small house and two young kids as well as 2 parrots. There is no way for me to enjoy an open headphone. That was the reason I went for Custom IEM. Headphone is intended to supliment that when I am lazy to plug the IEM in my easy. Or doing work that needs me to jump up and down from my desk. Maybe I will take it to my office. where people come in often to ask questions and removing IEM to hear them is not as easy as popping off a headphone.

That's right, I still forgot.

A very important extra is the balanced output via 4.4mm socket. The BL did not have that.

Since I equipped all headphones with new cables and XLR connectors, I ordered an adapter in France. It goes from 4.4mm to XLR. So I can fully use the advantages of the balanced supply at Signature.

Although 4.4mm sockets are robust, this adapter surely would put some pressure on them.

Yes. On the ifi BL, power == same. Only difference is "s-balanced" on 4.4mm which according to iFi comes with benefits.

I finally received my IFI idsd signature. It is very similar to blacke label but with subtle but clearly defining enhancements: I notice more detailed highs, it sounds more spacious and definitely, the sound is incredible. I love it, the difference with black label is noticeable, I suppose it will depend on the ear, the cans ... I don't know, if there are people who say they sound the same ... for me, no, not at all, it is not the day and the night, but I hear something that sounds clearly better to me. The IFI idsd signature combination in high gain + isilencer (another gadget that further improves separation and texture) + tidal on ipad pro + Hifiman Arya is simply MAGESTUOUS. I can't stop listening, I love Arya and her three-dimensional effect, her subwoofer, her details ... did I say her three-dimensional soundstage? : P and signature makes them sound great. In case anyone is interested: isilencer is much better than DQ jitterbug (isilencer makes everything sound airier and improves the punch and texture of the bass, DQ just makes it sound sweeter) and IFI idsd signature is much better than Mojo, for my signature sounds more natural, much more airy and much better bass (maybe mojo reveals more micro-details but I notice that signature has come closer to black label in this sense), but in general terms, although there are times when we cannot walk in counter clockwise, if I went back, I would always buy IFI idsd signature, isilencier and Arya again. I am not saying that my impressions are an absolute truth, but if it is what I feel, what I hear and perhaps my thoughts will help someone :)

I too am finally enjoying the device with some Afrobeat (Fela) and Jazz.

About the isilencer I was sort of interested, but I couldn't find any published measurent by IFI or other showing the data with and without the device. I mean no one can make claim without measurement. If it indeed does something useful is should be very easy to demonstrate on paper. I mean some one came up with the engineering. It is not voodoo inside. It has to be measurable, must it? This is really not about hearing. Digital data goes in and digital data comes out, before DtoA conversion is done.
I am hear to learn. So please correct me if I am wrong.

of course, I firmly believe that opinions should be supported with data. I cannot make measurements but I can tell you that, I have heard idsd signature, mojo, dragonfly red and a dac tempotec in comparison AB without and with isilencer and in all cases, with isilencer I clearly perceived (without being a difference like night and day, that's not it) that with isilencer it sounds cleaner, more airy and the bass with better texture. Measurements are important but two headphones can have, for example, the same frequency curve and sound different. How can the soundstage be measured? for example, I read that dragonfly cobalt in measurements was equal to red and cobalt was therefore only propaganda. I had cobalt for two weeks (then went back to Amazon, just bought to hear it) and it doesn't sound like Red. Cobalt is more analytical, in more detail. I in direct comparison A / B so I heard it when supposedly by measurements, there are no differences. Because it can be? I have no answer
