iFi audio hip-dac 2: just the tonic for headphone fans

Here's an unpopular opinion as a followup. I purchased a set of Beats Fit Pro and I have to admit that I'm not listening to my Hip DAC 2 anymore. To give you an idea where I'm coming from, I have a very high end vinyl only home setup with zero digital sources so my only digital listening comes from headphones. The Beats, with their extra bass and spatial audio sound way more analog to me than the Hip Dac and my Oppo headphone. Obviously the resolution isn't quite as good but the elbow room around instruments and singers is really pleasing and I can listen way longer without digital fatigue.

It's approx. 8 hours, as per specs at our site: https://ifi-audio.com/products/hip-dac2/
Question about the battery in the hip-dac 2: in officials specs the declared capacity of the battery is 2200 mAh.
In my case, after charging the completely discharged hip-dac 2, I get the 1907 mAh.
Da I have a defective battery? Is this situation covered by warranty?

If anyone is reading from India, the hip dac 2 is back in stock and on the Christmas sale.

Ordered mine now! Can't wait to try it out!

P.S. - Never knew Santa was an audiophile

Local retailer has the original hip dac for 30% less the cost of the V2. Is it worth the extra cost for the v2? MQA is of no interest to me.

Need a portable solution for my he400se. Coming from iPhone dongle into a liquid spark.
