iFi audio GO Bar - The Best Pocketable HiFi System, Bar None!

I've been using the Go Bar for a couple of weeks, been really impressed so far and was in the process of putting together a wee write up on it, then the Gold Go Bar arrived today and blimey its a bit impressive.
Very early impressions as only used for 90 minutes or so far with some switching to and fro with the Go Bar.
The Gold Go Bar has a similar sound profile to its little brother however it does it all with a bit extra added sauce, a but more detail, a bit more soundstage and a more refined sound overall, so far I'm finding the differences very similar to what @Ichos found in his review.
Early days, be interesting to see what I think after a few more hours and days with both.

Is this normal... After firmware update to 1.70 digital filter Led will not always On ?
1.48 version digital filter indicator always on ( which I like) unless MQA decoding ongoing.

Lol, I see I'm not the only one who tries to keep the protective film on as long as possible. If only we had a clear silicone case for it....Great sounding dongle. Obviously much more portability than Gryphon. The go bar works flawlessly on Android but it's a shame it's having connectivity issues with iOS on my iphone. Tried a few other lighting cables
Care to describe the similarities \ differences between the two sound wise? More interested in xbass and xspace. I have the xcan and xbass \ xspace are a lot more noticable when toggling them. While gold bar is more subtle.

I'm quite interested in this purely as an upgrade over S2 for watching movies / netflix etc on my tablet. What catches my eye apart from reported sq is xbass and xspace. Anyone using one for such a purpose? How's the SQ, stage width / depth and atmosphere?

Both bought new (no burn in yet) early impressions. Gryphon sounds detailed with greater soundstage. Go bar is bright and forward. Tested with IEM's. Haven't with headphones just yet.how does it sound compared to gryphon?

haha true. I don't plan on taking it outside just yet until a clear silicone or nice leather case comes available. Sure, I replied to a post just aboveLol, I see I'm not the only one who tries to keep the protective film on as long as possible. If only we had a clear silicone case for it....

We were thinking about that, but more people are happier with the black case, so that's what is available with the product. Thanks though!

Thanks for this feedback and it's cool seeing these two compared

I would looove to see a case for the Go Bar. Literally everything is perfect except for the fact I'm too my Gold Bar will ding or scratch without a case.
