According to the manual the volume sync can be activated by pressing the settings button >8 seconds. It does sort of work, although iPhone volume at 100% does not mean the GO Bar volume goes to/is at 100% also. This was with FW 1.48. Have just updated to FW 1.70 and haven’t been able to test it yet.The Go bar does not have volume sync. It uses it's own volume control independent of the source device.
You sir are correct - that was my mistake! I’ve never had a need to use it and never checked on my end.According to the manual the volume sync can be activated by pressing the settings button >8 seconds. It’s a handy feature when using the GO Bar in a desktop environment. I have the GO Bar out of sight and ‘control’ the volume with Volumio. Using the 4.4 to XLR cable, I have the volume full open (non turbo setting). It would be nice to know the corresponding output voltage though. You sir are correct - that was my mistake! yeah, agree, I think this is the only one that makes sense actually for PCM and especially good with higher rates, also in accordance with specs for DAC chip.Exclusively the bit perfect mode.
I understand that but is not this the same as in xcan? I mean does the xcan has this topology for the 3.5 output like xdsd or is different?
What I am trying to say is that xcan I hear a difference: I have a strong preference for the balances output.
In the go bar the 3.5 is so good that I really do not care si much. Is only the small difference in the cable from the original sennheiser one to a silver coated one since I have a different cable for the balanced output.
It is a unique advantage of the go bar never encounter before in any product.

Ha ha, nope! It sat at the Fed Ex depot for three days before they finally delivered it to a nearby Duane Reade today, where I picked it up. (And before you ask, I couldn't pick it up because I haven't driven or owned a car for years (financial decision), generally not a problem in my very urban environment.)That’s bad, and I would feel exactly the same. Delays can happen, but being screwed is different. Hope your GO Bar still miraculously shows up today at 5 pm at your ‘chosen’ location!
@iFi audio, if I'm not mistaken I have not heard anything from you on my earlier question - 3.1/6.1/12.3MHz DSD rates on GO Bar do not work. This feature is announced on the site, printed on the box and in the manual. It was the only reason to chose iFi Go vs competition. Any chance to receive a response ? Please note these rates work perfectly with my other devices which support them. I have the latest Go Bar firmware. This problem is on Windows and on Linux, all the same - IFi Go Bar does not work in accordance with announced specifications.
@Sebastien Chiu , may be you know someone in iFi who can clarify ?

Hi, @iFi audio , thank you for your attention, I have provided additional details in PM.Hi there and your observation was passed on to our support team. If that's not a problem, can you point me via PM one or two samples of files (if they're streamed) that don't work? That would help us a lot in targeting the issue. Thanks!
Hi, @iFi audio , thank you for your attention, I have provided additional details in PM.
Note the bug with 3.1/6.1/12.3MHz DSD rates is with GO and GOLD bar all the same. I have an open ticket with iFi helpdesk since 8th of June, two weeks already, with no slightest sign of action. I hope for your interference. At this point I would like to know if I should return the faulty equipment, GO/GOLD bars that is or this is possible to be fixed with firmware update.
Another idea - may be much more simple and efficient - may be iFi R&D can share how they have been testing 3.1/6.1/12.3MHz DSD play back on GO/GOLD bar in a way that I can reproduce on my systems? What software and settings? Easy as that?
