@Womaz I see you're in the UK. Let me suggest that on Monday you ring your local Amplifon, and ask their advice and whether they can help you – since they do impressions for custom hearing aid fittings, they are used to seeing blockages (usually earwax, but still) and can direct you to a suitable local specialist.

If you were in London I would suggest a trip to the Clear Ear Clinic, who specialise in earwax and but can probably deal with other blockages as well. Even after removal of the stray eartip you might well have some impacted earwax that could affect hearing.

Edited to add: I've been a customer of both the above (well, in London, not Newcastle), and my experience was good each time.

Yes I think I will have to do this as it’s no better this morning . I work for myself and really busy so Wednesday may be the first chance I get . Thanks for the post , really appreciated . it was not a good Saturday , first my NUFC match was called off and I could not even console myself with music

Hi Etyheads, congratulations on this huge milestone!

Hi again . Any idea on what tips work well with these . I usually use the comply foam tips as I find they give me a good fit . But hard to get here in the UK. Any similar style foam tips that I could find and try out ?

For me the stock silicon triple flange tips (small size) work the best. I feel the foam tip boost the bass a bit more. That said, If you are looking for foam tips check Symbio ( foam / hybrid) or KZ foam tips.
The best would be to get it from Etymotic , I think its available in amzon

Thanks for the input. I do actually like the triple flange tip too and I might just order some of these. Trouble is I have no idea what size tip it is I am using as i got the ER4XR second hand and there were only a few tips included.
I have always preferred foam tips bit as I have bought these to offer something different to my Andromeda I dont want to enhance the bass with the result being a lack of clarity

The grey clear ones are small size and white translucent ones are of medium size. The foam tips boost the bass and reduce the treble clarity a wee bit, which is not for me. It works well on andro as it tames the treble sparkle and makes bottom end slightly thick.

Thanks again. Yes I usually use the large comply tips , but the etymotic goes right into the ear so assumed it would be a smaller size

Using a 800Hz low shelf with a -0.5db cut to get the 4SR's bass on the 3SE, Really love how deep and punchy they can get when the music asks for it. Never understood the the very fast decay being a issue going by some reviews, It sounds way more real/clean which i don't get with dynamic drivers.

Hi guys,

do you think there may be some new earphone coming in the 2020 by Etymotic. By the time they have been extending its line, so either ER1 or ER5 may be under development? :) We can just speculate, but
maybe someone heard any rumors or such... IDK, I'm just very curious.
