@Womaz I see you're in the UK. Let me suggest that on Monday you ring your local Amplifon, and ask their advice and whether they can help you – since they do impressions for custom hearing aid fittings, they are used to seeing blockages (usually earwax, but still) and can direct you to a suitable local specialist.
If you were in London I would suggest a trip to the Clear Ear Clinic, who specialise in earwax and but can probably deal with other blockages as well. Even after removal of the stray eartip you might well have some impacted earwax that could affect hearing.
Edited to add: I've been a customer of both the above (well, in London, not Newcastle), and my experience was good each time.
Yes I think I will have to do this as it’s no better this morning . I work for myself and really busy so Wednesday may be the first chance I get . Thanks for the post , really appreciated . it was not a good Saturday , first my NUFC match was called off and I could not even console myself with music
