If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

Love my ER4XR but does anyone have a tip suggestion for very tiny ear canals. I tend to have pain after listening for 30+ minutes when inserting with the stock tips (tried all).
Comply foams (their website will you choose tips that fit the ER4 nozzle). This will boost the bass a bit, but should retain most of what you're used to. Or, look for the small long stem tips.
To my knowledge, the bi flange tips Dealux mentioned come with the er4xr/sr if you can find the newer packaging and are not yet for sale.

Will definitely look into some foams. With comply I did not have great experiences before as the tips started breaking off after just a week in use or so

I've been telling people for a while now - the dual flange EarFills from Future Sonics are my favorite tips for the ER4-XR:

+1 on the Future Sonics tips, I've got them on my ER2XR and my ER4XR. They stay in place better than the Ety triple flange tips and are a bit more comfortable.

Thanks, these seem good

They are, you should definitely try them. They feel great and are perfect for small ear canals, they will isolate but fit comfortably and easily. I had exactly the same experience with the complys by the way.

For those that know the Future Sonic tips, I use the Ety large tri-flange and am mostly happy with them, however my right ear always loses a seal where my left one stays rock solid, so I'd like to give these a try. What size Future Sonic tips matchup best with the Ety large tri-flange? Thanks.

So, I have a lot of experience with these. I have almost impossible to fit ears, with most IEMS. I have to tip roll for days to find tips that work for me. And 99% of the time, I need either the largest, or second-largest tips. I have boxes and boxes of small tips from years of buying IEMs, because I could never even come close to using them. HOWEVER - either the SMALLEST, or second to SMALLEST FutureSonics tips are the ones that fit best for me. In fact, with these tips, they are - hands down - the best fitting, most noise-isolating, IEMs or headphones, that I have ever used. I couldn't even remotely use these tips on the FutureSonics Atrios that the tips originally came with. Using the small tips, I am able to insert the ER-4s much deeper than any other IEM. It's a little weird, at first, but I got used to it, very quickly. Combined with a balanced cable, and a Radsone EarStudio ES100 (using Crinnacle's latest EQ curve in the EarStudio app, and the crossfeed set to 3), I have a portable setup that is good enough for me to check my mixes and masters on, for work (I'm a recording engineer).

Plugged my 4SRs into the balanced connection (via a PlusSound cable) on a new ifi hip dac a few minutes ago. This is very good. Every time I come back to these earphones I wonder why I strayed.

Any news on what's going on over at Ety HQ? I remember a few people wrote that queries weren't being responded to (from late last year AFAIK), so I wondered if anything has changed. Would be a shame if they stopped operating in the same capacity.
I got my case handled after 12 months minus a few days.
Seems to me that the support channels don't work very well since Lucid Audio came in to the picture. Worked out great in the end and I got compensated.
Now I'm still waiting for the balanced cable but that stuff takes time for Etymotic and it has always been that way.
