Moreover people clearly can't hear a full 24 bits of audio... this isn't really like if you can hear over 20khz or not which Im sure some people can.. but 24 bits? 32 bits? Overkill

gregorio can, he must have done, as he will tell you that listening to 32 bits would kill you, like an explosion caused by the large hadron collider at CERN, a true E.L.E

you have been warned

When 24/96 discs came out, part of the marketing was that the dynamic range of this a to d conversion exceeded what was capable on analog tape. Great. The holy grail. But 24/192 sounds better. Will 32/xxx sound better yet? Most likely.

I was going to start almost the same thread.

Keep going!!!!

You know,,,, one question I never have ask is why don't we see more hi end sources at meets. We had a Meridian 808.2 at the last meet here in DC. (wow was it nice) but something like that is rare. Some of you guys on the top of the Hi end Digital source list, never seem to bring them?

$21,900 - EMM Labs CDSD/6e - bozebuttons, immtbiker why did you guys use the G08 in the great electrostatic amp shoot out? PS. I am not singleing you guys out! I just really respect your opinions.

A friend built a Hagtech kit and it performed better than many well-regarded commercial products owned by our mutual group of friends. Can't recall the name of it, maybe it was "Hag-Dac" or something like that.

I would get an Audio Note DAC 3.1 if it's available for under $5k, otherwise I'd go with the 1.1x.

If you want to talk about high end, this is a company that sells their flagship DAC around $75k, flagship phono amp for $35k, flagship power amp for $200k. Their top speakers only go for $50k...

I've heard numerous Audio Note setups and am convinced they are the overall leader in high end SQ products, whatever category.

I am sure its good but I dont think you can get it for 5000. The cheapest I have seen lately is $8000 used.
