Thanks. I’m very happy with the Analog and the Renderer. One day I may consider an upgrade to the MSB Discrete lineup but for now I’m just enjoying the music.

Debating wether to update my Chord Dave, got it about 6 years ago now and wondering if there’s anything better out there now?

As a fan of Chord myself, the one DAC that I would pick over Dave is Esoteric D-70.

In the $5k neighborhood, probably a Holo May KTE or Lampizator Amber.

Here it is my $5,000 dollar dac I sold it twice bought it 3 times 3rd time I bought it back from the person I sold it to. Only DAC that I don’t question my music. The Cipher lvl 1 it’s not the silver power plant.

Only Esoteric dac I know of recently is the 20k N-01, never heard it out of budget. I thought the D-70 was a decade plus old dac/cd player.

It is vintage, but it uses one of the two best DAC chips and is, together with Accuphase (and Wadia?) one of the best implementations of those. Still very rare and goes for about 2,5k USD. It was about 10k at its time.

I’ve been perfectly happy with my MSB Analog + Renderer V2. Im sure you can find an one for a decent price.
