I had hd-555s and also sennheiser hd-202's
 
I have been using the 202s for 6 months just because its nice to have closed cans while on my computer (people bug me)
 
I just plugged the 555's in, and music still sounds better id say, not much, but in games the sounds are really muffled and odd, i was expecting them to blow the 202's away...  I have just switched to windows 7 still using my old audigy 2 platinum card i don't know if there is some weird issue or what.. maybe they need a burn in again though?

Highly doubt it. I'd say you're just more accustomed to the other pair now. If you used the 555s for a while it would probably seem odd switching back to the other pair.
