IEMs reshelled into Custom Molds $80 in the USA (TripleFi 10, SE530, etc.) from FISHER HEARING

Hi everyone, I wanted to know if I should have my ear impression done before talking to Fisher Hearing. I tried emailing them but no response. I live in NJ and found a cheaper place in Brooklyn for 40 bucks, compared to 50-80.

Do you guys think its possible to get Etymoti ER-4 customed?  If so, is it worth it to get them customized?

I believe they are balanced-armature, so you could probably get them done. I asked the same question about the Monster Turbine Copper, but those are dynamic, I believe, and was told that Fisher only re-molds the balanced armature IEMs. Obviously, your best bet would be to call up Fisher and ask them, or email them and see what they say. That said, I would guess they can be customized (no promises, though).

Edit: I just realized how long the body of the ER4 is, I don't know exactly how much that will play into the custom, as I thought they just used the internal parts and put them in the custom body, but it's worth checking out.

There is an office in Bensonhurst 726 60th street Brooklyn, NY 11220. Tel: 718 569-0106
Her name is Winnie and she did a great job. The first ones didn't come out so great so she redid it and it came out perfect! It only took about 10 mins to do both ears. I posted pics somewhere of the impression so you can take a look

Just spoke with Kaysen and they have my TFi 10's. Now the waiting begins.
It would be interesting to do a poll of all custom IEM owners, regardless of make, to see what proportion have had to have the originals re-worked and how many times before they were happy with the fit and sound.
