He could do it though, easy stuff. Just ups the clarity and reduces the crowding of the sound reproduction.

I asked Scott Tarlow if his custom TripleFi's use dual bores. He said the following:

So I'm guessing he's right?

f00fighters, please ask me before you quote me from a private message, but yes the TF10 pro is a dual bore universal IEM, and it might be the only dual bore universal IEM.

It's not really a true dual bore, the bores join in the sleeve/tip on the monitor and doesn't carry the bores all the way through. The silicone mold over the soundports of the drivers also doesn't help the output of the drivers, degrades it. Reduces decibels and detail.

What's the point of getting a custom remold if it already fits perfect? If I remold my W3 for 130 and lose all of its resale value (approx. $250)... basically I am paying $380 for the remold.. well, I think Ill rather add $19 bucks and get a UE4 pro~ which I did ^ ^

Because i have yet to here a universal that can match a custom, as the advantages of a custom monitor is just that much more.

Now why would one buy the UE4 when there's the JH5?

The sound quality/signature of the TripleFi is almost perfect for me. But the fit is not. I can get a good fit with comply foam tips, but it's not very comfortable, and I can't wear it for a long period of time. The custom fit is supposed enhance the experience. It would be nice to simply slip the customs into my ear for a PERFECT fit. Not to mention a slight improvement on what is already wonderful sound. Anyways, that's what I'm hoping to achieve with the custom fit.

I wonder how the UE4 / JH5 compare to the Custom TripleFi

Could anyone kindly direct me to any reviews for a remoulded TF10P and/or a remoulded TF10P with extra driver? I daresay I've read 90% of all the UM/remoulding threads and I have yet to find a decent review of it. Would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

I agree. The reviews with the TF10 and extra driver are not detailed enough. Which is why I'm a bit skeptical to request the extra driver. I figure, since I enjoy the TF10 sound so much, I'm not changing anything, with the exception of the custom reshell.

I'll ask. I'll put everyone in touch with this company, once I verify that they do good work. Because I do not want to mislead anyone or be responsible for any f-ups
