After lurking for so long, i am now taking the leap forward into the IEM world. I've been using etymotic's HD15 earplugs for work and hunting, but lately i have stopped using them because i hate ear tips that never made the right seals perfectly each time. When it's in perfectly, they are amazing at shunting the higher end noises while still allowing normal conversations.
I finally contacted an ear specialist to have my ears impressions done, considering my hearing worth the price of admission. I will be bringing my earbuds, hopefully they can mate them straight up to the imprints. For the price they quoted me, the plugs themselves in silicone should be a great addition that take care of my one problem with them.
Should i request the master imprint if i want to make more custom iem for myself later on... I know i can make a mold of the final product, just not sure if the master would be better for this task?
Also, if anyone know where i could find filters that fit the earbuds, i would really love to find a local canadian supplier if possible.
