In any case if it's still under warranty Sennheiser will likely give you a replacement unit. I think they give 2years, same as Shure?

Your electronic receipt/confirmation of sale from an authorized dealer should be sufficient proof of purchase. If you've registered your product, the confirmation email would help as well.

The closest service center is quite far away from me so should I just fill out the repair form and mail everything?

Why don't you call? That's how I did my RMA for my IE8's. They e-mailed me the info too, iirc.

Just send razordog an email and ask how you'll go about it. Since you bought it online, you'd have to fill out the electronic service/repair/return ticket (it's easier to find this on some websites than others, dunno where razordog is on that so email them first) and then send the item back, normally the service number on your ticket must be written on the package, or printed out and included in the package.
