I'd like to upgrade my Shure se115s a step up - but to what?

I have a pair of shure se115's which I absolutely love, but recently the wire has become exposed where the modular cable connects and the sound quality is starting to slip.

After a bit of surfing I see there's a lot of folks with cable related issues and shure earphones.
I also noted  that shure have discontinued se115s and the new models don't have the modular cable system - which was one of the reason i loved them so much.
(basically the earphone cable is short but connects to a larger cable)
I loved this as I use them with a bluetooth control that clips on -i.e. there's ne need for a load of extra cable.
People seem to be down on the modular cable but it just works for me.

I previously used a pair of etymotic er6i's before but found the shure considerably more comfortable and to have better sound quality.

so does anyone know of a pair of earphones that would be a step up from the se115's, just as comfortable, with better sound quality and preferably with the modular cable system.

any advice greatly appreciated
cheers eske
