About the humidity issue. Remove the leather band, freeze it for a while. Seriously. Sounds stupid. I have some 40 year old leather jackets that remain the same after humid finnish summers, then being frozen again during winter. Freeze will kill everything that might have lived there (bacteria).

Good tip, maybe. Only one thing tobe confirmed : can you remove the leather headband of sr1?

Just got the Sr1 used with the Pt 1 pads and the cb15. Paired up with the Dx200 amp 5. It sounds amazing. Fast with great bass and detail. Amp 8 is coming soon which to my understanding is the best. I'm really looking forward to the Amp 9. Was wondering if the 9 will be balanced?

Thanks for your review ! Makes me wonder why you did not use the perforated pads ? Also, I do agree with you when it comes to the cable. If I could change anything on the SR1 it would be to replace the current mmcx connectors with a nice simple 3.5mm connectors.

To steal another manufacturer's slogan, "nicely done". I have been trying to find time in my review queue to write up these cans for a while (they were an impulse purchase a while back) but after reading your review, I don't think I'll bother. You have pretty much nailed how I hear these things.

In fact, screw it - I'm just going to post a three word write up: "What Pinky said." That should do it.

Good work.

I have to admit, after switching to PT1 perforated pads I don't have any plans to go back stock. Yes, there is some trade off with less isolation and some reduction in bass impact (at least to my ears), but the sound is more open and more balanced. All a matter of personal taste, of course. And you can compensate to bring more bass when switching to amp8.

Yes, I agree, and Alex, try this amazing combo out. Put the stock SR-1 Pads onto the Aiva, and it magically brings out the sub bass + soundstage depth with more comfort! Try it with dx220/Amp8 ! Capable driving stack with matching synergy

It is phenomenal that Ibasso stock pads is a perfect fit for Aiva LOL.....so, if anyone want to sell the SR1 stock pads, please list it up as it will help Aiva owner :D

Just ordered a used pair. After a while researching in this thread, recommendations are swap stock cable and pads to CB12s and PT1. And iirc IT04 stock cable is CB12s, can't wait to test these cans on DX208.
