Can you try swapping to CB12s cable? I find them quite an upgrade to SR1
I have that cable here and will give a try then. Thanks.

I used to try most cables i have for head/earphone reviews, lots of tip rolling for earphones and also cable changes, test with several daps etc etc...
-and try to answer every possible query in a review.

Ended up ‘too long didn't read’ for most people, the other side now is ‘too short!’

LOL

But any tweak that might give improvements i am down to try.
It will probably set me on a course to cable roll a few other MMCX cables i have lying around...

I was kidding with you about the 1 star. I figured something went wrong, since your review was positive.

I have used the Whiplash cable with the SR1 and it is very good. I also enjoy them balanced with the 4.4 that is available from iBasso and use the stock cable a lot.

Does anyone know if the PT1 pads work on the TH900 or the HE6? Putting in an order at iBasso and need to know this ASAP. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing those photos. They are very helpful. Can you describe how the sound changes compared to the original pads? Thanks again.

After seeing those pics, I had no hesitation to put in my order. In fact I was tempted to get two pairs; one for my TH900 and the other for my HE6. I'm the end, I ordered one and will order another if the sound changes are favourable. They sure look nice.

Good thing you bought just one Set @Rayzilla I'm not sure but I'd guess those pads are too small for he-6.

Unfortunately I can't comment on the soundquality. I'm not familiar enough with stock th900 and I don't have time to compare more right now.
You're exactly like me. When I bought the TH900 used, the pads were no where near the condition it was described to me. So I never got to know the stock pads sound signature. :frowning2:. So I ordered the HE6 stock pads and have them on my TH900 now and they for perfectly. And I don't have time now to test them. That's why I thought I could also try these PT1 on my HE6.

Thanks for your post.

I put some PT1 pads on my TH900. The improvement in openness, transparency and layering is extremely surprising. The original ear pads were breaking down and the PT1 have transformed the TH900, so I am glad the original pads weren't holding up! They sound like an open headphone now.

I found the same thing when I got to listen to them with the TH900 for about 30 minutes. And then the other day, while carrying the TH900 on its headband, those crappy holders did not hold the earpad and I lost one of them. :frowning2:

I'll be putting in an order for two more so that I can put one back on the TH900 and get a second one to put on the HE6. I want to see if it will also fit on the D9200.

How do these hold up against the audeze lcd2c or sine (dx)?

Sine isn't comparable. It sounds like a small headphone that it is. Not bad bad you just have to take it for what it is.

I have not heard lcd2c but lcd-3 does not destroy sr1 which is something one might expect from a headphone that cost 4x more. Actually because of Audeze's weird midrange nasality I rather listen to Sr1.

iBasso is excellent at avoiding the most common faults. It does not have the treble issues of hd800 or th900, closed soundstage of focal clear/elear or feather like bass impact of hifiman headphones.

So unless you are looking for some particular trait (big soundstage of hd800 for example) then sr1 is a safe choice.

Been lookin for the pt01 pads but looks like they sold out everywhere. Any other good pads that'll be a good fit?

Have you tried ordered to ibasso website, seems available to me...

Alternative maybe brainwavz pads Round or XL Round, they fit perfectly as well
