I’ve just noticed my left IEM has a rattle in it like so thing is loose inside. . It doesn’t seem to effect the sound though. Anybody else run into this?

Is it rattling whilst playing back?
if not that should just be a part of the circuit. A circuit cable / board holds them together.

If its not affecting sound, then ur ok...

Sounds like a casual driver flex. My sold one also had flex on the left side, it is very common among IT04s. The sound is unaffected by any means, but the frustrating remains. What's your IT04 color, I had my hand on around 4-5 IT04s, 2 of them were Blue and they had worse flex than the White ones.

I doubt that the color of IT04 affects driver flex.

Just my humble 2 cents,

Agree.
Colour doesn't affect driver flex at all, sounds like people are experiencing random QC issues.
Glad never had that problem with mine.

Hope everyone has a great day !

It's only my experiences with blue ones :D I'm not talking about how different paint colors affect inside the shell :D
I know what you meant... Now I can see what I really wrote, sorry :). I meant that it is just unlikely that color and driver are related in any way.

i'm familiar w/ this tech.
Heard a pair of loudspeaker made by a popular hi-fi Company from the 80s.
Bass is clean, deep, punchy and no bleed through...

Dual Helmholtz resonators
A Dual Helmholtz resonator driver provides deep and powerful bass that prohibits standing waves and ensures full natural sound.

Would be interesting to implement this to other higher models...

If you look back through this thread, you’ll see that I’ve been a huge fan of these IEMs.

But of course, that doesn’t stop upgrade -itis. Over the last few months, I’ve purchased several campfire audio IEMs: original Andromeda, Atlas, Vega, and on Black Friday sale, a b-stock Solaris SE.

It turns out, that the IT-04 defeated the Andro, which have been sold.

Now I’m comparing IT-04 to Solaris. Much closer battle than vs Andro. I’m listening via Hugo2go — both plugged in at the same time. Small volume difference, probably 2 or 3 dB louder from Solaris.

Detail is similar from each IEM, as is tonality in general. And headstage is also quite comparable

Biggest difference seems to be bass tonality. Here’s an example — ‘Calling’ by Bliss. There’s some percussion instrument which comes in @ about 17 seconds. From Solaris it sounds like a mallet on a solid bock of wood, while from IT-04 it sounds like a mallet on the outside of a hollow wooden box. So I wondered which is correct. Turns out Utopia and HEKse say IT-04 is ‘more’ correct, although even the IT-04 is brighter than either of those full-sized cans. But the character of that instrument is more accurately conveyed from the 04s.

P.S. I really like the Vegas. Next bout is IT-03 vs Vegas vs Atlas :)

Interesting — not on the IBasso site, Bloom Audio & Penon are the only places I see it.

You gonna review them?
