Wait, I'm not getting what you mean :D Haven't I already done that in at least one of the pics in the album? If not can you give me a similar example so I can know what exactly to try and capture :)

Also not sure about the older batches but I got two extra nozzles as spares as well.

That`s the pic I wanted.

There are different kind of nozzle filters @ IEM`s:
1) filters with different inner hole size & filter materials
2) filters with just removeable and cleanable purpose

New version IT01 seems to be second one.

I don’t think ibasso went to the trouble to add removable filters AND included a total of 2 sets just because they wanted you to be able to remove and clean the filters.

Like with the Magaosi K3 Pro, each set of filters obviously affects the sound somehow.

From the photos, they appear to be different from each other. One looks like has foam inside, where the other is open (similar to the KZ ED9). It’s too hard to tell from the photos if anything else is different (ie inside diameter, a teabag or nylon filter material under the screen, etc).

Perhaps @Paul - iBasso can chime in and tell us what the exact differences are between the filters.

I haven't paid any detailed attention to the type of material the inside of the nozzles is made from. Will have a look tonight and see if they're the same because when I checked them out today they definitely seemed the same.
Also even if they're identetically the same and even if they are cleanable isn't this a pretty good future-proof solution to preserve your IEMs? I really appreciate the fact they've added these to be fair.

I think this time You are wrong about it

It is not a filter for music but for anything getting into the chamber. There are extras included if a screen should get clogged. The cable for the IT01s is very soft and non microphonic.
I doubt they made IT01 into tunable version when S version filters are just for protection.

Yeah I just saw that on the IT01s thread.

I’ve never had a need to take apart my IEM nozzles for cleaning, but I guess it’s nice they included that ability.

I’ll be curious about the sound tuning once impressions roll in. Hopefully it will justify doubling of the IT01 cost.

We need some measurment/comparison. Perhaps the LZ tuning filters will fit the IT01s. Not Head-fi if someone doesn't try it

As we already read - IT01 newer version removeable grills does NOT act like tuning filters and using other IEM filters will not improve sound IMHO cuz IT01 is best without grills and with ultra-wide bore silicone tips. Of course, someone being sensitive to treble can benefit from this.

So the Spinfit 240-M double flange are great tips, but not for the IT01. I would skip these for use on the IT01. I also received Comply Isolation Plus T-500, these are ok, but change the sound profile - I will likely only use them on the bus and airplane. Trying the Spinfit CP-155 next!

CP-155 are too big IIRC for the original IT01 nozzle, not sure about the new version though. CP-145 should fit though.

I have the CP-100 on mine. Not sure what the difference is between it and the CP-145.

Nozzle diameter is 3.8 for CP-100 and 4.5 for CP-145.

I want to get the largest bore I can for these!

Thanks kukkurovaca for catching that, I've changed to CP-145.
