Depends on how power-hungry the DX80 is. That battery is about 1.5x more juice than the stock DX90 battery. Hopefully this means we get around 8 hours out of the DX80...

The key question is, will this be the TOTL, unlikely, and what will replace the DX100.

I would guess the DX80 is a replacement for both, the DX50 and 90 and they will continue to make one DAP only.

Commercially speaking, naming it ''80'' seems a step back to dx90 owners. My guess is they will do a dx95 or something like that

Haha, for those unaware, I just wrote up quite a large comparison between two IEMs and submitted it to this thread by mistake. 

 While my edit was quick to remove it, I cannot escape from subscription emails.
 
As for DX80, I do think there will be another offering later, more than likely something to compete with FiiO X7, though iBasso probably don't want to tell you that right now because it will shift focus away from the new and beautiful looking DX80 here on show. As for performance, DX80 I assume will be better than DX50 definitely.
