Got MOJO toda, love it significant better in sound quality over dx80, however I like the dx80 as a dap and using it with mojo.

I set dx80 volume on 0, I use coax cable to go to mojo,
When I change songs,I hear clicking sounds and popping sounds, it hurts my ears... Anything I can do?

I can't use 1.2 or 1.1.4, it keeps plopping and clicking. My ears can't take no more.

I went back to 1.1.4 but don't get any of the sounds you describe. I wonder what the difference is?

I have the Mojo and enjoy it quite a bit but compared to the burned in DX80, while I find the sound different, I don't really find it better.

I find it not so fatiguing, even tho dx80 isn't really fatiguing at 1.4

I enjoy the Mojo better, to my ears it'd clearly superior, I have roughly 60 to. 75 hrs burned into dx80, not a bad sound, but mojo is more musical and softer on the ears no matter what spike,

I do feel mojo is not full of clarity,
I definitely find it to have a *safe bet* sound signature, it's clean.

But I'm having this poping noise issues when I change songs while connected to Mojo

How would you describe the Sunday signature?

I know all my tags are clean. What I suspect is that embedded art might be too big for DX80, I recall i had few files with big images (like 10MB), I just don't know what specific files have it. Any tool to scan the files and then display them with the size of embedded art showing up?

10MB embedded image !

I can confirm that DX80 recognizes files with 10Mb art embedded, it does not however display the art. But, the files are being scanned and added to the library properly...
So the files i'm missing must have some other attributes DX80 does not like ... I'll keep searching

Paul,

Question on library management: I shut down the player and removed one of the cards, then powered it on with another card remaining. DX80 still has files from the removed card in the library views.
If I try to play them it does nothing of course.

Obviously, the way out is to rescan the missing card. but that means once I put it back I have to scan again, even though I made no changes to the card. It would be great if the player can detect missing card and perhaps "grey out" the songs/albums/artists in library view, but do not remove them from memory. This way when I put the card back I'm in business right away.Rescanning does take a long time 10-12 minutes for me on a single 128GB card.
