Sent in my unit for repair on Wednesday through my local distro.

The battery drain problem was getting worse on my unit. Charged it to 100% overnight and unplugged unit in the morning at 7am before I left for work. After 12 hours when I came home, I switched on unit again and battery was only left with 67%. Unit is on official firmware v1.4.2

Keep having this issue where it scans the library but not everything is found. If I then go into 'directory' and enter the folder, it will add it to the artists/albums list. Anybody else having this issue? really frustrating.

oh, i found another issue,, i tried to play 3 uncompressed .dsf files and it can't play them correctly,,, 1 file has null output, and skipped,, the other 2 can be played but the output is slow motion audio.. the files can be played correctly in my desktop using beeplayer,, i just wondering what's happenning? is there any limit in size or something?

Hmmm... never had trouble with .dsf files here. I have the Mighty Sam McClain live set, The Carpenters Singles and MJ's Thriller all from Acoustic Sounds on DSD, and they play fine. Sorry you're having issues.

The missing track bug is irritating, though.

Please provide the technical details of the tracks: sampling rate (2.8-5.6-11.2...MHz) or "CD rate" (64, 128, 256...), whether it is compressed (DST) or uncompressed (DSD), number of channels, file sizes? Also, which firmware version do you use?

DX80 is able to play only stereo (2 channels) DSD64 and DSD128. If the file with a track is bigger than 2GB, DX80 fails to play it. I don't know any other limitations. Earlier firmware versions had "slow motion" problem on some devices. So, without all the details listed above nobody could help you.

I've experienced battery drain even when not using the unit. The drainage can be as much as 20% down after full charged over 24hrs. I've used the unit for about 6 months so I'm sending in for repair. Anyone experience this sort of problem after using for at least 5 months or more?

Oh, right, i forgot lul..

I'm using 1.4.2 FW, and this is the technical detail of the file: DSD 128, 5.1 (maybe here is the root of the problem?), 88 kHz and size is 1,46GB

Hi Paul,

It will great if the USB-DAC can report the bitrate and the sampling frequency on the screen.

I would advise to send in for a repair while still on warranty.
