Thank you !
Will the PO be silent enough to use with Andromeda?
And do we know impedance output?
Nothing mentioned on the ibasso website.

Line out is to use my headphones out of my balanced thx amp in case I need moar power :)
From being a part of this thread for a long time, reports are that the Andro (any version) are very silent on this setup in low (and maybe even medium) gain.
IIRC the impedance output is <1.

I don't really think you will need more power than with Amp12 (2W & 2A+). It drives my 600ohm @91dB/mW earbuds very well IMHO. But YMMV. :)

Thanks for the fast and to the point replies!
If I cannot find a hiby r6 2020 or rs6 I'll try my luck with this dx300 which are a bit more expensive with amp12
You are welcome!

BTW! Just wanted to let you know that the stock amp card is no slouch either for the DX300. It has all three (common) connectors, though no "true" LO, it does have it. It has some pretty impressive power for driving harder to drive phones too (1.2W & 1.7A(ish)). And also, there is another amp card for it that is a Nutube amp (which I really love the sound of also). Just letting you know your options (in case you didn't know).

IMO this DAP is the best value for your money (read, cheapest you can get for really good flagship sound). And while YMMV, I have never liked Hiby's after sales support. They seem to (decidedly) have a "hands-off" approach, where iBasso (almost) goes out of their way to help as much as they can... Again, this has been MY experience and it may not be the same for you (for both companies).

According to the specs the PO of the Amp 12 can do up to 8.3Vrms, that should be something like 2.29Watts on a 32 ohm headphone/iem.
If I remember correctly, the equation to determine the total power is P=V²/R where V is the voltage and R is the impendance. Pretty much enough power for whatever you want on the go.

Anyone using it with DCA Stealth or Expanse headphones?
I have the Expanse incoming. Should have them on Monday. Will be running them balanced.

I notice that when I use the dX300 in DAC mode (USB from my computer) there is a latency issue with YouTube videos. This doesn't happen when I stream the videos by WiFi from YouTube. Any recommendations on how to correct this on the PC?
i don't think there is any way to correct this as most dap has this same issue.

the btr7 fiio i believe doesn't have latency issue because i believe they use xmos controller. same as btr5 or anything that has xmos controller.

Saw this on Facebook, Android 11 released on the Max. Hopefully the DX300 is next.

I'm using apple lossless on my dx300 and it says that I've used 1 tb of my 1 tb SD card and have used 18.65gb of 128gb of internal storage but when I change apple lossless settings to my internal storage to add more downloaded music it says it's full and diverts back to my SD card. Has anyone else experienced this?
