the sound is comfortable, emotional, there is no hard technicality. Of course, iBasso are true to themselves, the player turned out to be quite neutral, without enchanting accents or thick merging, but I would not call it analytical either. Priority is given to macrodynamics, the picture is solid, with slightly smoothed nuances, the model is more suitable for listening for pleasure than for rigorous testing of different recordings. She is not picky about genres, she is also loyal to the material, although the potential, as expected, is revealed better on high-quality music.

Has anyone noticed any sound quality difference between Apple Music lossless and tidal hifi, streamed/played from dx300?

Hey, I posted this work around a few pages back. Not perfect but better than no connection: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/iba...-29-21-1-04-305.943221/page-568#post-16606957
I don’t know about others but that isn’t a practical solution for me. I am able to connect to my iPhone via Bluetooth and access the internet but it is super slow and unusable for streaming music. While my iPhone shows me getting around 100mbps on 5G, I’m only able to get around .32mbps on the DX300 using the iPhone Bluetooth internet. This is tracked using the Speedtest app on both devices.

Is anyone able to do better on the DX300 using Bluetooth internet? Is there some trick I’m missing?

I wish iBasso would fix the WPA3 issue.

In the past I got pretty good speed out of a hotspot. But then the carrier I use, Tmobile changed the service, and I didn't know about it. I spent hours on the phone with Apple and with Tmobile and then finally one higher level tech on Tmobile told me that in order to have speed on the hotspot with my iPhone, I had to pay for the speed and it has X amount of data per month. I said forget it and just use WiFi for my DX.

Using iphone 7 as a hotspot.

Better to use phone as usual and connect over bt it seems

iBasso DX300 iphone 7 to DX300 via bluetooth connection and speed tests.
1) iphone using wifi to 2) DX300. 3) iphone on mobile data connected to DX300 via BT. 4) using iphone hotspot.

Conclusion do at home over wifi using bt connection from phone or standard cellphone connection and connect over bt - hotspot might be too weak.

Of course this appertains to streaming on the move.

But if at home just connect straight to home wifi.

On the move i would use internal memory or a micro sd card/ or over bt and skip the hotspot

I think the issue impacts the newer iPhone models. I had no problem connecting the DX300 with my older iPhone 11 but I have major slowness with the iPhone 13.

Has anyone been able to get faster speed connecting the DX300 to an iPhone 13 via Bluetooth and have a good music streaming experience?

I believe it is iOS 15 that has introduced the issue. Using fast.com to check speeds I am able to get around 900kbs using the bluetooth connection. It is good enough to do hi-fi quality on Tidal but it won't do master quality.
