Guys, which are the best headphones for DX300? I mean price range to 500 usd,
Thanks!
Your probably going to have to provide more information because "best" is very subjective with no context. Type of music, preference in tuning, size you are looking for, type of drivers, etc...

It is a big pain, made worse by the fact that no matter how I try, the playlists don't cooperate. It literally took me five hours of trial and error just to build six playlists for Mango-droid. I went album by album and most of the time, song by song, to get the lists correct. And even then, on rare occasion, Mango can still "forget" the track order. It is extremely frustrating, and my biggest issue with the DX300 (the DX220 had the same issue).

Now I have to figure out a way to get my playlists back on Mango OS without throwing the player across the room. I managed to do it easily in FW 1.02 but 1.03 is a PITA. That's why I was looking to see if someone could send me a copy of the 1.02 firmware...that and not being able to turn off the indicator light in Mango OS now...
Cheers! :beerchug:

Try to use neutron apps, from playstore. Way better playlists handling and many more features. However, I like the graphics of album while playing in Mango better. Also try hiby music player, which allows you to use your iphone or android phone to control your DX 300, very useful on LO mode. Soundwise, I think Neutron seems better for me subjectively.

Thanks for the advice! I have and do like to use Hiby but haven't tried Neutron. I just want iBasso to get their software as good as their hardware. Mango is supposed to be the main selling point for using iBasso but it seems like they have become comfortable with letting owners put better apps on their hardware. It's a shame really because aside from the playlist issue (and now the always-on indicator), I really like the Mango OS player...
Cheers and Thanks! :beerchug:

The iBasso website says 'account suspended' if you go there. Anyone know what's going on?

Good recommendation. But dont need a dx300 to drive it. It does not scale up as well as other iems.
It is also clear to me that they do not need a DX 300 to be driven. But highly recommended for the money. But apart from that, if I only want to spend 500 bucks on headphones, I don't need a DX300. I would divide it up differently. Buy me the DX160 and spend a little more on headphones. But everyone has to know that for themselves. Was just a consideration of mine. Greetings

Easy, and I have many headphones. The iBasso SR2 are one of the top headphones on the market at an excellent price.

How much Shanling M8 is better than the dx300? Is it very audible difference? Or mostly tuning-wise difference?
I don't think it is better personally, I've had the M8 and now have DX300. It's different tuning, DX300 is warmer but with more of a natural timbre and bigger stage from what I hear, also holographic. The bass still hits as hard too. The DX300 blew me away much more than M8. This is with Amp11 Mk1 by the way, it's phenomenal!
