The 4.4 is the standard wiring. For what you want to do, use just the R and l positive and then the ground, which is the sleeve, S.
So I have customised
as advised. 15cm of 7N OCC Litz copper cable, 3x for L+, 3x for R+, 2x for ground, total 8 cores beautifully hand braided. The two connectors feel dense and heavy.
Cost me $15.2 and works wonderfully. Thank you!

You built this yourself?

That was super fast!! Enjoy burning in !!
I will, but not with my IEMs since my Monarch seems to has lost it's subbass and im gonna RMA them.
Maybe after the repair it's gonna be a better match for the AMP12, we will see, or in this case listen!

Mine should come on wednesday. I'm afraid i will start listening out of the box. Im not very patient with such things..

You absolutely should listen right out of the box - burn-in with iBasso products is real and tangible but you shouldn't be avoiding them before burning in... they sound great from the start.

They just evolve and mature, and part of the fun is observing that change happen through listening, helps you get a better understanding of the tuning as well.

I received my DX300 MKII last week, and I couldn't be more happy. I haven't posted here yet because I wanted to read all that has gone on before (on this thread) first. Now that I am caught up....

So far both DX300s I have had in my possession have been pretty spot on. No issues that I have read about, except the leather case (wheel rubbing) undocumented feature. :) I had two of them because the first one I received had a hairline crack in the back glass. I didn't even notice it until 3 days in, and only then because I saw a glint while looking at it in the direct sunlight. Because I ordered it from Amazon (Urban HiFi), I was able to hang on to that one while the other was in transit.

Coming from the DX160, I have to agree with @Whitigir's assessment/comparison. It is indeed like the DX160 but on steroids. I am not sure the hours of burn-in I have, because I haven't really set it down for the last week (and I mean pretty literally). I really have nothing to compare it to because this is the highest-end DAP I have possessed thus far.

For fun tuning, I am using the Dunu DK2001, and they sound fantastic. I also am using the TinHifi P1, but they are just as hard to drive as they were on the DX160 (probably harder than my Deva). High gain, D3 Filter, 53 volume. Boy, if I were to listen to these blind, I would NEVER know they were only $160. I also have iBasso IT07 on their way (probably Wednesday).

The only issue I have had thus far (and may be documented) is that I can't play DSD from coax out. It will not have any sound in Mango (android), but will play with lots of noise added from Neutron. Not a big deal, I can just use LO if needs be.

Yeah you're probably right. I could of course wait at least 20h, i think from 10 to 50h period the changes are the biggest. But i do t think i will wait even 2h hah.

I didn't wait at all. I pulled it out of the package, turned it on, saw that there was 99% and 94%, and went to town. I didn't think about it until I had already packaged up the first one, but since I had at least 40 hours (or so) on it, I wanted to compare the sound with SOME burn-in to one that had none.

It's been far too long, when is iBasso gonna update the Mango OS and address the current issues?

1. Fix the oversensitive scroll motion (bug) with Album/Artist display screen.

2. Add Replay Again options.

3. Overall navigation annoyances.
