hows the matching with A8000?
Amp 12 came in yesterday.
Been listening since then. Agree with the prior impressions thus far. Bigger soundstage, more vibrant. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Public service announcement: the screws are TINY! So please consider using a underlying cloth surface, when make the swap, which prevents the screws from bouncing into nothingness.

Hey @NickL33 ! How are you doing? Bear in mind that I have my A8000 paired with the Sony Kimble Kable 8 wire copper cable. I like the added headroom, and generally bigger/deeper soundstage. I have read that the perception can be that the mids are recessed. I see it as more that it is put in context of a bigger picture now. I find that with the Amp12, the A8000 is that much more nuanced and supple as well. Of course it is still early days yet for the Amp12. I suspect it will be settle down and become even more refined in due course. But do I like it with the A8000? Yes!

On the subject of using the DX300 as a USB dac for watching TV on an ipad, the speech is significantly out of sync. Any clever way I can adjust the timings to get it synced up?

Could someone tell me by what% or how many db do you think the subbass increases in amp 12 compared to amp11mk1?
Today I was playing music with my ifi micro idsd signature with my verum mk2 and grado hemp
In general, ibasso sounds more refined and separates the layers better.
What I miss is the slam that ifi has with xbass.
With neutral headphones like verum 1, ananda, amiron, gh2 or hemp xbass sounds great. It gives you more sub-bass without blow the mids. When I listen to edm, hard rock or modern music on my ibasso I miss the bass that xbass gives, I hope that with amp12 it gets a little closer to that bass.
On the other hand I have to say that I love mango os, with those high mids and extended highs. Although it sounds with less slam than in android mode. When I want playing critical music , mango is great for me

I keep forgetting the answer to this, but can someone please confirm if it would be OK or a bad idea to use the 4.4mm LO of Amp12 to an SE input in a desktop amp, whether 4.4mm to 3.5mm or RCA?

for R70x, Soundstage wise yes, almost similar. but authorities sounding, IMO, Desktop amp still a head.
ADX5k, I only tried a while, really over my preference in term of high/treble. only 5 minutes for tonality check.. can not talk about how it drives.
HD800s (Sheepskin pad) is nice though via AMP12. really synergies pairing so far...

Just curous does the AMP12 fix the softness of the treble as with the AMP11mk2?
After the first weekend und around 50 hour burn in with the AMP12, i am not sure if it is the best pairing with my ThieAudio Monarchs.
I am surely will still burn it in past 100 hours to see if something changes dramatically, but for me the Monarchs sounded better with the AMP11 MKII.
The other thing which bugs me, is the question if you guys also have halved your analog battery life (from 14-15 to 7-8 hours) with it?

With the a8000 it helps a little bit with the lack of depth in the a8000's imaging. So positive match up overall. S pronunciation problem is still there, so still needs eq for the treble peaks between 5kHz and 8kHz.
But the real synnergy is with the Dunu Luna crazy scaling from the amp12 module.

The latency is a pain in the arse
...the only way I found was to download the Soundbrenner app and with a bit of faffing I reckon circa 12ms off set sorts it
