Improvements with this firmware:

1. Auto adaption mode for Bluetooth output added. Now when playing high-resolution music on the Mango player APP with Bluetooth output, the bit depth and sample rate will be lowered to work with the Bluetooth protocol. (Android OS)
2. Rectified the bug that there is a low possibility that the screen would not display anything. (Mango OS)
3. Improved the compatibility of the USB digital output. (Mango OS)
4. Rectified the bug that when using coaxial output, multi-channel DSD can't be played. (Mango OS)
5. Rectified some interface display errors. (Mango OS)

Do you have a balanced cable? Unbalanced has less juice. I have to max my 220 in order to start hearing my Sundaras :p

No just the standard cable. I thought when I got them - This is going to need a 4.4 balanced but didnt realise how much they really need balanced on this DAP.

Now I need to find a decent balanced cable for the Sundara's - any ideas????

If there are issues in Mango, not Android, what are they?

Fellows!

I contacted the shop that makes this case, and asked them to put it on Aliexpress. Now here it is!

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100...m=5261.ProductManageOnline.0.0.3be14edfdoeZoZ

FYI, I messaged the seller if they do expedited shipping since it wasn't an option at checkout. You just have to add the item below to your cart apparently.

US $25.00 | extra charge for shipping https://a.aliexpress.com/_m0od6xn

I'm a little disappointed with the included case. I have to lift up the side when adjusting the volume wheel since it gets in the way. The fitting is not too great. I also gave up on putting the (2) screen protectors, but that's on me...

Complaints aside - coming from the original DX200 and AMP8, I think the DX300 sounds amazing out of the box. Breathes new life into my headphones and makes my Arya's sound even grander! I can't even imagine an AMP8-like module for the DX300.

The OS itself is snappy, and since the device is HUGE, the screen is HUGE! I'm definitely keeping the DX200 though as this thing is too massive to be secure on the mount in my car. Will serve as a nice backup anyway.

Dx300 Amp 11?

For me the DX300 amp module looks a bit like Amp8, and has a few similarities to amp8EX and Max sound wise.

maybe maestro @Whitigir can weigh in here
It is based on Amp8 with improvements, tuned specifically for this stock sound signatures, and the improvements is even more than Max in the power distributions and output.

Amp11 is an improvement over Amp8/Amp8EX/AMPMAX
Is the analog battery of DX300 8.4v (or 7.1v as the rating) like MAX or 3.7v (converted to 7.1v)?
According to the specifications sheets, the battery is 3.7V

I have talked to quite a few people with DX300, most have cases with a tight secure fit. But a few, including myself, got it from a defective batch where playback control buttons are not aligned and there is a gap at the bottom of the case, so DX300 slides out by merely tilting it. I guess these cases are made by 3rd party and one batch fell through the crack.

I got the defective batch as well. Hopefully iBasso can do something about it.

Where's the best place to report issues to Ibasso?
I'm wondering if i should return it. The audio/video out of sync issues start to really bug me.
And the roon app is not working well on it (delay when starting/skipping tracks, no bit perfect, hardware buttons do actions twice)
I kind of get around the issue by using an app called sbplayer (can set 384khz sample rate) which emulates a squeezebox and use the lms integration of roon.
To much issues for my use case.

But then i start Tidal and am happy again.

Talking about battery drainage it feels to me like they could have doubled the digital battery and reduced analogue one.
Now playing around more it's not yet representative but yet on DX Max where I am hardly having the screen on but am just either playing local albums or playlists or streaming playlists, albums I felt like the ratio between drainage was like 1:2 analogue vs digital
But this will of course also depend on your headphone hunger.
Am hardly using high gain, mostly medium gain with volume max at 50%
