@Whitigir : I think yes. I read some japanese mini-reviews in Twitter. Some said It might be difficult choice between buying DX300 or the second hand DX220 MAX. By the way, some said DX220 MAX SQ still superior. Most said DX300 has large soundstage.
Why do you need it? It was designed to use 3rd party music players to fully utilize the audio hardware. Since then things were changed, and apps support bit perfect playback without additional tools.
By the way, I doubt it is possible to write a similar app for DX300: in DX200-DX220Max, XMOS chip was connected internally to USB bus, but in DX300, with its FPGA Master, the interface is unlikely to be USB.

Max is only warmer than Dx220 Amp1 MKII but is more neutral than Amp8EX. Max sits between Amp1 MKII and AMP8EX. But Max soundstage, layering is obviously superior
