Just make sure you ask them to send you a FREE iBasso DX300 and you will do all of their translations going forward.

This is an awesome idea, i would translate the GUI into german! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

some more posts from iBasso Facebook (a couple posted before but keep the set to).

A better look at the case.

also iBasso has upped their photography game (like other companies the last two years or so. Lifestyle pics and models).

Sorry to point out.. The volume knob protrudes out too much as if it is going to fall off.. Design on DX160 is much neater..

🙌🏻 God, I love these kind of observations and your sarcasm game. Got a good kick out of this comment. Congrats (in my book) You are king of the thread for the day because audiophiling isn’t just a hobby it’s a lifestyle. Thug Lyfe forever :) Haha

Dynamic contrast is key for me. The infamous PRAT along with resolution.

Has anyone ever tried to “match” the dap eq settings with chart tunings of the iems & their daps? It just would seem if they were both “in tune” the Same way you would calibrate a tv it would probably sound better, no? You would be able to save those eq settings for each of your favorite iems as well.

I haven't heard an EQ circuit that I haven't heard.

No, I meant measuring the iems and dap external outputs and match their spectrum charted in “stock” even matching loads measurement exactly if you want to! You could eq it and use DSP to get a more custom sound sig suitable to your iems. You could tune it to the IC by measuring the lpf and hpf then using measurements and changing resistor values and caps to tune the Dac circuit but then that would be a “fixed” tuning which isn’t a good idea especially if it were to brick.

For me, if I can't voice it passively, it's just time to move on.

Me too, I’m lazy af but if I just apply myself the potential is off the charts. (Was supposed to write the great American novel during Covid Lockdowns but opted to listen to my favorite daps instead.) :)

How are the Mango Os Eqs and DSPs?..third party apps on it? According to @Whitigir it’s the best on the ibasso after him scolding me for saying A&K has the best UI & Fw by far (could definitely feel the record player scratching to halt on the thread in that instant there) haha

May well be but I just hate EQ circuits. I find that on a lot of daps, just selecting gapless and other options can have subtle changes. Not making a claim that it's always going to be the case because my DAP history is small but i'm used to the best home gear (not PC based:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:) and it's remarkable what small things make significant differences. On some resolved systems, making sure that the source cable is floating and not touching the stand, wall or other cables for instance. tweaky geeky.

Nah, a lot of people feel that way in this hobby. In fact I would say more people just wanna put their daps on and just listen. Btw, totally agree about home gear being superior! Digitally home rigs are easier than analog ones or hybrid ones (digtal & analog). I’d love to set up killer turntable set up but that requires lots of experimenting with components and whatnot to get sound amazing. It’s one of those “bucket list” audiophile fantasy I dream about doing...taking that journey.

On the dap side, I’m looking forward to a day where AI fw developed by a software or dap company will be able to fine tune everything in real time and using a machine learning semiconductor circuit to make stuff just sound amazing. I believe this will be the next huge innovation in daps or high end iems/AE with the best ANC with no bleeding or crosstalk in the audio signal.

Sound like you want to go get a Walkman or DMP Z1. Their DSEE-HX is what you just said
