Ok so within the Audio Hardware settings, there is an option to also "Follow Source Frequency", so I checked that and the output of the particular MQA track went from a 44.1 to 48 kHz.
But is still saying it's playing at 2.3 Mbps.

Hmm

Not too sure, but maybe that track is ONLY 48?! You could test it. Go HERE and download one of the sample MQA files, and try again.

BTW, I don't know if you know or not, but the DX300 comes with a screenshot feature. Just pull down the top bar (swipe from top downwards) and there is a screenshot button. Don't know if that would be easier for you or not.

Also, If you have the trial version of Neutron, all features should work for 5 days.

It might be because it is only 24/44 (no unfolding needed). MQA files are stored in the FLAC container, and since Neutron doesn't need to unfold it at all, it just plays as a regular FLAC file.

Yeah its a bit perfect player. It plays everything i have - mp3, flacs, hi-res, dsd, wma etc. Someone mentioned it doesnt play MQA, but i dont have such files localy. I only listen to the MQA recordings on UAPP-> Tidal.
Neutron plays all MQA as normal FLAC files. It does not unfold any of them.

Nope, it looks like it DOES unfold it all the way:

It does not. Please, activate the DX300 led and option to see real frequency in the Android bar, and you will see no more than 48 kHz.

Look up a few posts back. That is in neutron, unfolded all the way. :)
Believe me, it does unfold all the way. Only until 48 kHz.

Metallica - Enter Sandman MQA - Neutron: 48 kHz / Mango app: 384 kHz.

You can see it in the Android bar.

I just posted a screenshot with the android bar showing 352. Not saying your wrong, but also saying the one that I posted is indeed unfolding all the way.

Ok, then there will be some option to activate it. In my DX300 it says 48 kHz, and in Mango says 384 kHz…

Do you know the options?
I think I have all as you said in last posts

It must be some options…
In my case, Neutron doesn’t say MQA, it says FLAC. It is not detecting MQA format?

I will need to look through all my settings, as I have not purposely set them up for MQA playback. I was just testing to see if Neutron does indeed unfold them. I'll get back to ya'. :)

It is that Neutron is very misleading, and with its options it can be confusing.

It still doesn't tell me MQA with my MQA files, FLAC appears, although it correctly shows the bps data, etc. And the Android top bar frequency keeps saying 48kHz.

But if I disable the Follow source frequency option, it lets me change the Frequency option to whatever value I want, for example 384 kHz. And if I do that, 384 kHz appears in the top bar of Android, and the orange led, even if it plays a simple MP3.

Are you on the latest version of Neutron?
Yes, I have checked yesterday, I have the last version.
