Luna is great with AMP12, especially with a dash of that great parametric EQ iBasso implemented in the Mango app. I've been testing the result of a 4-point correction for two days in a row and feel it's ready to be unleashed in the Luna thread ^^. Once you tame the 2.5k to 4.5k area, and bring up the 50Hz and 9.8kHz spots, they sound fantastic.

The LO performance of the new amp is indeed mindblowing. With the iFi 4.4 to XLR interconnect linking the DX300 to my Pro iCan in tube mode, I'm having a blast with the D8000P and my favorite inears. Thank you iBasso

Mango OS still needs a bit of work in the folder navigation for example, and hopefully the parametric equalizer will be added. For now, Android mode delivers in spade.
I can second the Dunu Luna scales in depth with the amp12 module. It is a nice combo. Bass comes out especially fast and is of thr cleanest I've heard in an iem.

Final a8000 benefits too, but only in the bass presentation. Not in the soundstage and depth aspect that the Luna did.

Sennheiser ie900 had less benefits from the amp12 module. Almost like it's a very stable iem that resists changes. Just a bass shift presentation change.

so you guys are tempting me with this AMP12...
one question: I mainly use the DX300 as a standalone player (PO), how do you compare the AMP11MK2 -vs- AMP12 from a PO point of view? I'm not interested in the different technical implementation (well, not because it's not interesting, it's just that I think I have a clear picture from that side) rather I would like to understand the difference using the 4.4 PO with an "average" IEM (I have the Tea, will have the Oracle)
thanks!

For amp12 & full size headphones, many things will scale with depth and imaging aspects of the soundstage. And no treble grain is removed like in amp11.

For iems, it is a throw of the dice. Since iems don't have these aspects as strengths to begin with.

So far Dunu Luna has benefited most from the amp12. Most other iems have not. Only a shift of their bass presentation. (Cleaner subbass especially synth bass)

Yeah, i thougth the same.
My Clears with the AMP12 are awesome, but since i mostly use it when i am mobile, i will go backt to AMP11 MKII with my Monarchs,
The AMP11 MKII is a better pairing with that exact IEM in my opinion.

Enjoy! I'm expecting my DX300 on Monday... Case and amp 12 are already here to welcome it! :)
AMP12 is really good for a small amplifier! Keyword is clarity. Broadway is such a powerhouse. Line-out to Broadway...

Wait, isn't LO on the right side of the player?

So would you say soundstage is also improved on PO from the AMP 12 with IEMs? Becuase I'm mainly looking to use PO as I don't have a portable AMP to pair with.

Plus, has anyone used a HD 650 with the AMP12 yet? Any impressions?

so if I understand correctly AMP12 is a clear improvement with LO, while it depends on the specific cans/iems pairing with PO (correct me if I'm wrong).
umh... since I will use my DX300 99% as PO with IEMs, and since I really (really really really) love the sound of this AMP11MKII (4.4 to Tea) then I will wait that someone reports some feedback with the Tea or the Oracle (or the Mest MKII or the Odin, even if thes will be mine only next year :frowning2: )
thanks!!

Hello, I have a question: having balanced cable with 2.5 mm termination. Which 4.4 mm adapter would you recommend? I think I prefer L- shaped or eventually wired one. Does the company matter or I just can purchase any decent one to keep the sound quality untuched? Thank you in advance.

Mostly doesn't matter as they generally don't add much impedance. But if it is a matter of which are made to be tighter with less loose fit. I've had great luck using DDHifi adapters.
