Am I crazy for using much higher volumes? I've got the Elysium with the DX300 and just tried your volume settings. They seem far too quiet to me... Is this where I learn that I'm experiencing hearing loss? I usually use high gain and volume at 50-60 for the Elysium...
I think no... you are fine. There's nothing wrong with you.
I am a low volume listener... I should mention that earlier.
One thing that I loved about iBasso DAP, they still can give a good dynamic even in low volume...
Thank you! I also discover that there's a software glitch when you click on view album when a track is playing and when the album shows up, there's no way to click on another songs in that same album. I hope a firmware update will address these annoying little things as I truly enjoy my sonic experience with DX300. I'd have been a bit less angsty if UAPP had already fully supported the device

Most of you doing a full 200 hours of burn in? I’m up to 70. Ive never really believed in that with cables etc., but I see no harm in trying so I’ve given it a go. Not sure I hear a difference, I’m playing different music all the time so it’s hard to compare, but this sure is one sweet sounding device. My DAP search is definitely over. I wouldn’t mind a little more power for my HD800s on a balanced cable, but 95% of my listening is on U12ts and I’m not going to make any major investments for the other 5% of the time. Maybe I’ll try a line out to my desktop headphone amp, but that’s it. The HD800 does ok with it, but doesn’t shine. The U12ts and Valkyrie shine.
Nice! Have you tried the Monarch on the ifi Hip-Can? That's what I am currently driving them on. Wondering how much of an improvement I will receive from the DX300. The only other Amp/dac I have is the Fiio BTR5, the Moarch sounded awful on that.

Sorry no I have never owned the Hip DAC. The Monarch will require a bit of decent power to be driven. My listenable volume level on DX300 at high gain is 43-45/100 (usually my U12T requires less power for example).
