My one and only real complaint with the dx300 is ibasso's horrible music database management. Files that were easily listed correctly by my Sony and fiio daps are "unknown" to the ibasso. Willing to live with it given the sound quality and hope that ibasso figures this one out

Sure I use Roon for best in class experience but I do feel that a company that makes DAPs should be able to perform this function well as a minimum at any price

Sorry, as I am re-entering I am asking noob questions again.
Does "Tap to wake " need to be activated or might I need to some factory reset to enable it with latest update installed?
Edit: there's still another update pending, forgot that these need to be installed sequentially

@twister6 can u check ifi dac connectivity via USB instead of coax?

That's what I was wondering too. And I am surprised that none of us has tested this out. I have been trying to connect it through my Ifi iDSD BL and there's no reason that it should not work (but still no sound for me...).

Hmm, interesting. DX300 works without a problem with their DC03 and L&P W2 usb dacs. Just tested it with micro iDSD BL using usb-otg cable, and it does NOT work. Maybe some compatibility issue? But coax with micro iDSD BL works fine!
