Dark Blue. In some light it looks purple but in normal light it is dark blue. Very, very nice. The screen and speed blow you away. And the case is extremely nice, like Dignis.

It is not quite as warm as the 1Z, more resolving and has a larger soundstage.

Filter? There are 5. 5 is NOS.

I don't know. I don't have the owners manual for the DX300 but I would imagine it is coming out. I found the filters on the player.

Even not burned in, the sound is rich on the DX300.
