It's been more than a few months since I had DX300... It had PO at the bottom so no issue but I don't recall being able to flip the screen. 3rd party app?It works perfectly for DX300, I don't see why they would take it out with MAX.

Too blocky and goldy for my taste.
What does “Five Battery Power Supply“ infer?

Similar to dx220 MaxToo blocky and goldy for my taste.
What does “Five Battery Power Supply“ infer?
4 batteries for amplifier: 2 for each active rail +/- with ground references
1 batteries for the main SOC for digital and Os processing unit

Awesome! It look to be slightly thicker than DX220Max right ?Picture from twitter
the name while being confusing in referenced to the last Max release, but I do take that the dx300max and Dx300amp are two very separated DAP
Any words on power output ?

Why is this device labeled dx300, when it does not follow that Dx300 set up of using a Cirrus DAC chip? This is a new device needing a new theme labeling it.
This is using a 4499 AKM chip. AKM setups are usually very very hard to implement to sound good. Only good in that dmp-z1. There is a good chance the dx300 and the 220MAX will sound better.
220-->220MAX device name made more sense since they were both ESS Sabre dac setups.
Oh and can a USB-c to DC cable come standard with this device!!

It seems to be application dependent. UAPP can do 90/180/270 degrees rotation, Mango doesn't rotate at all, some others rotate only 90 or 270 degrees. It's been more than a few months since I had DX300... Forget about specs and reviews. I want to see some pictures of Jannie holding the DX300 Max.

Oh man…. This is gonna be a loooong year. I think during Covid, because I’ve stopped traveling incessantly, I’ve had time to catch up with my music and gear… Thought the Amp12 was a great upgrade. Now there’s this… and of course still to come is the FiiO M17, another brute of a DAP. But I am really glad to see how other companies are picking up innovation and pushing the bar up now that AK seems to have stagnated.

I wouldn't consider that one. The bone conduction driver makes the Mest behave very very strange and is different with many sources. (End result is all the drivers end up swinging in unexpected ways; not just the bone conductor). Using it for a comparison will not make it relevant for other people's experience.Overall, the impressions are very very promising !!!
Did I see that next month is the release version ? And prices is not announced yet ?

Looking back at 220MAX timeline, there was a Shenzhen exhibition around July 25. I wonder if a similar event will be the official release?Did I see that next month is the release version ? And prices is not announced yet ?
