Yea, the line out totally bypass the Amp. To take the best of it, you should be using balanced connection, Eventhough SE is supported, it would take an extra conversion stage.
Today I tried out the Silver Litz cables from FiiO, and they are surprisingly good, excellent ergonomic, fit and build. The L plug also fit into the volume knob just fine . This cables is unbeatable for this price. It has great synergies with IER Z1R

Looks nice but it also looks too slim to have the power of the MAX.

That is lower voltage.

Yes they could have but that DC port is charged via a 18V charger. There isn’t a direct 18V option supplied via USB PD delivery.

The type C socket output limitation coencide with the slimmer appearance of the dx300 amp section. So I believe it will not have the higher voltage rails of the MAX.
Yet if so, using same socket for both sections means no more separate supplies.
Either way it looks to be a bit compromise for portability.
Anyways, actual listening will determine outcome.

You have a meta data issue. Not a device issue. Search YouTube for a tutorial on changing the metadata of your audio files. You probably need to use a different programme than the one you are using.

Have you performed a rescan yet? That should do the trick so the updated album art shows up.

However, it’s as I thought. Groove Music updates the metadata in its catalogue and not the file.

Another programme is needed to do that, then rescan the database on whatever app you’re using on your MAX

I have problem with my Max connecting to my home WIFI. Previously has no issues connecting but now it will not make any connection period. The Max wifi screen of my home WIFI will go into "disabled" after trying to connect for 2 or 3 mins. Any idea on how to fix this? No issue with connecting to my phone's hotspot.

Probably try to check the router ? I think there was someone with previous issues too until he swapped out the routers

I would unplug the router for 5 minutes and then restart it and see if that works. I have to do it from time to time with my router for my computers etc.

To anyone who have been curious about M8 VS Dx228ex, the M8 has a more recessed vocal, but wider, deeper, taller soundstage and with better coherence in it presentations. It is more fluid and musical

It is crazy how MAXEX can pull ahead of M8, just simply it has independent power supplies and batteries packs. Yes, due to this, the EX modifications is also a little more tweaked on the Max Vs the smaller brother Dx228ex

How exactly is Max better than M8 ? The same as how M8 is better than Dx228ex, with the exception that the vocal is more intimately forward than M8. Also the upper spectrum extensions sparkle better

We can agree to disagree. I do not find the M8 to be as musical as a DX 220 with the AMP8 And I definitely do not find the sound field to be wider and deeper. Also I find the dynamics on the DX 220 to be a little bit better.
